Phenomenal Intro to Living as a Disciple

This is an incredibly comprehensive, thoughtful, educated, and useful introduction to life as a disciple of Christ. Teachers and students, young and old, Christian and explorer should all find value in this resource. If you’re looking for an introduction on how to read the Bible- this is it. An overview for the Bible? This is it. How to lead your first small group? This is it. Why we have to engage in evangelism? This is it. How to dig deeper into your relationship with the Lord? This is it. A better understanding of God and who He says He is? This is it! This is the resource you need and are looking for. God’s highest blessings to all who are on the journey. Amen.

A Necessary Kick in My Rear

I’ve always enjoyed Francis Chan’s books and sermons, but this book packs a wallop! I read the book alone (while instructed to do with another) and watched the online videos, and this book has strengthened this knowledge: while I’m still here on the earth, God still has work for me to do. Each morning I must thank God for His love, for Jesus, for His Word, and the Holy Spirit.

Multiply speaks of being a true disciple who were called to go forth and teach. This is God’s will, and it should be mine. I pray that, as I wake each morning, I understand that God has work for me to do; I’m thankful for Jesus, who paid the price for all of our sins, then conquered death; I’m to study God’s word and pray diligently, not just spouting off wishes, but speaking, listening, to God.
