Spot on! but too much profanity for me!

Considering that I've just left a narcissistic marriage, it was as though I was listening to a reading from my journal. I thought it was quite informative, but I could do with out the explenatives.

Info is outstanding - narrator is abysmal

Too bad the book was ruined by the narrator - I had to stop and take breaks from her grating, childish voice. Publisher needs to spend the money and re-record.

I would recommend only the written book - avoid this amateurish performance.

Loved it, I’ve been with a narcissist for almost 5 years. This book was like my entire relationship summed up in one. I have been struggling to decide, stay or go, and this…. WOW. Cleared the air!!!

A handbook to help you recognise, realise and get the hell out of any narcissistic relationship of any kind. Must read/listened to. The narration by Anna Butterworth is an easy and comfortable one. Thank you A B Jamieson for this book. 👍🏼

Excellent book. A little shock at the language but they call it like they say it. True to form for narcissist.

Best narcissist book

I loved the book as I could relate hand in hand with the characters and writer’s experience. I am now recovered from narcissistic trauma. Although I know it’s not over since he will be released from jail soon. I share a child with him and he always based his attention on me than our child or if I stop talking to him he stops calling for the child. My story is long. But this gave me a boost of confidence that I can handle what’s to come my way. Without running and moving to different states. I really wish they taught about predictors like this in school I had no clue about ppl like that when I met mine. Thank you!

Completely my life for the past 4 years.

Couldn't stop listening. At first it was really rough to listen to. Quite emotional, I felt like I was reliving the whole relationship, how could it be so amazing in the beginning? How could I have been so dumb. Tears. At the end of this book I became alot more knowledgeable, I was able to learn about the red flags. And most importantly, I learned about myself. That I'm still the woman with strength to move on. ❤️

Not of my liking but useful, kinda.

I just felt it was too dramatic and more like reading a dialogue of a woman going through a relationship, it wasn’t a novel yet it wasn’t a handbook on the subject which was kind of confusing. Easy to digest tho if you’re looking for something simple.

without being too complex or academically convoluted; this title gives a wide range of narcissistic scenarios and explanations intertwined w a non fictional story about a male narc and friend of the author's relationship.
