My husband and I have been at our wit's end dealing with our threenager! We started reframing the way we speak to him and the difference in his reaction was noticeable within the hour. I plan to revisit this book many times over the next 15 years and have already recommended it to fellow toddler parents.

What applied 30 years, applies even moreso now!

I first read this book 30 years ago, when we were raising our kids. Now that we have grandkids, I read it again to see how much of these ideas still apply. WOW, does it ever! ...and it *still* applies to my now-adult children and many other relationships that can display child-like behaviors from time to time (like a pouting spouse, an overbearing mother-in-law, an impatient boss, a lazy co-worker, or stubborn friend). This was definitely worth a re-read, especially for consideration beyond the typical younger parent-child scenario!

So many practical small changes!

This all just makes soo much sense! Almost everything I’ve tried to implement, has produced surprisingly positive outcomes. No matter what age.

If it didn’t go well, it’s because I did something a little off and need to slow down.
