Can't get enough of this series

The book as a whole was fantastic, but I struggled at times with realness that Box detailed in this story. We witness Joe going through his ever so enthralling and captivating life, but are hit hard with the reality of being a family man in a world that seems out to get you. The emotions run high throughout the novel as we take a back seat in Joe's life and patiently wait for his life to come back together.

Wonderful read.

Started off soooooo slow. Was awarded with an amazing ending with questions. Wonder what happens next.

O er all a good read following the CJB style. Great characters and storyline. Worth the listen if you are following Joe Pickett. Great series and author. He does a lot of research.

Lots after build up in this one with an explosion of action right at the end.

This is the darkest yet of the Pickett storyline. But I love that Joe finds ways to keep pushing thru the trauma and drama and temptations to become a better man every time

Great narration overall but hate the plot of this one

Love all the twist and turns. Lots of surprises. Glad bad guys finally got caught. Never saw the end coming

I like the characters, the location and the detail. At times the plot is a little far fetched. I wish Box would try less about making it thrilling and focus more on telling stories about the Wyoming wilds.
