Surprise pregnancy

What an incredible listen which had me smiling while listening and then at times ripping my heart out. Sterling is all alone in his world and with his baggage and nine busts into his life with her wit and snark. Their relationship starts rough and then turns into an amazing. Adaventure. And the narrators.... I could listen for days and not grow tired of the emotions they place into the characters to make the listener feel like they are right there for the ride.

One of my favourite audiobooks so far!

You know an audiobook is good when you binge listen it from start to finish in a day. I hadn't read this one as an ebook/paperback first and right from the start I was invested in this couple. The narrators absolutely nailed this one, I highly recommend grabbing this one on audio!

This couple complimented each other so well! I loved seeing Sterling's tough exterior crumble and him letting himself open up to loving June and wanting to change his life to fit into hers. This one has plenty of steam, plus some funny moments, particularly when June's family were around. Sterling and June's story is definitely one I can see myself re-reading again and again.

Once Upon a Holiday

Once Upon a Holiday is an excellent Christmas novella!

June and Sterling are opposites, but truly in this case opposites really do attract. It was fun watching Sterling go from grumpy to falling for June. I also liked how their relationship developed and they found more than they expected in each other.

Sometimes novellas leave me feeling like the story is rushed or missing scenes or information. That is not at all the case here. Claudia did a great job with June and Sterling's story! Getting to listen to it on audiobook was a treat, too. The narrators are perfect for this story and these characters.

Amazing!

This is the perfect holiday novella but can also be enjoyed any time. I am hooked on the characters and their families now too. June and Sterling are everything they need without even knowing it. The story is funny, sweet, and all kinds of sexy. I couldn't get enough. I loved the narrators and how we not only had 2 but 3 narrators which really brought the story to life.

Enjoyed

I enjoyed listening-reading this story last night. It felt like a little novella. It was nice to see June and Sterling and their journey of friendship. I read the series out of order so this one filled in missing pieces to the puzzle. Bonus was Aaron, Emma and Sebastian. They are my top tier narrators. They connected well to their characters.

Engaging holiday romance

Between Sterling's attitude and June's penchant for ridiculous and embarrassing situations, this holiday romance is a riot. It isn't hard to figure out where this story was going, but it sure is fun getting there. If you're looking for an angsty, slow-burn romance, this is not it. This one isn't a slow-burn anything, and once these two get together, it's like a whirlwind. In the end, I suppose June and Sterling do the whole relationship thing a bit backward, but it somehow works for these characters. This one isn't as angsty as some of the books I've read by this author. It's more lighthearted, and it is definitely laugh-out-loud funny. This one is totally a fun bit of escapism for the holidays.
That's what I wrote when I read the book, and as it turns out, Once Upon a Holiday is a fun bit of escapism for any time. Of course, it's hard to beat the performances of the narrators: Aaron Shedlock, Emma Wilder, and Sebastian York. The emotion and humor, and yes, the chemistry between Sterling and June, come through wonderfully. If you've followed the series, you'll recognize Jackson as well when he makes an appearance in all his overbearing big brother glory.
Once Upon a Time was already an entertaining and engaging read, so the narration just added another layer to the experience. It's as hard to hit pause as it was to close the book.

Sweet and charming story!

Narrated by Aaron Sheldock, Emma Wilder and Sebastian York, Once Upon A Holiday by Claudia Y. Burgoa was such a fun and charming opposites attract holiday romance. June is a practical, smart and determined. Sterling is sexy, cocky and loves his life as it is. He may be a celebrity of sorts and needs to be guarded, but life is good. Then they meet and though neither saw the other coming, their chemistry is steamy and undeniable. Even when both want to deny it! This was a quick and charming story full of all the best feels!

Entertaining

June Spearman wants a baby and now that she is thirty three she feels the pressure. Sterling Ahren is your typical hot, billionaire playboy, who happens to hate the holidays and has no plans to have a family. When they meet sparks fly. Of course fate works in mysterious ways so nothing goes as planned.

Not only was this book humorous but the chemistry between June and Sterling was intense. An entertaining book and the narration by Aaron Shedlock, Emma Wilder and Sebastian York was great and brought this story to life for me. Their voices are easy to listen to and added to my listening pleasure.

A great holiday romance

A holiday "Scrooge falls in love" novel that combines two families in the author's arsenal? Sounds like a perfect holiday gift.

We get to revisit Claudia Burgoa's Spearman and Ahern families again for the holidays, and this novel is definitely a treat. It's heartwarming, entertaining and satisfying.

Sterling Ahern is our Scrooge - brash, broody, takes life as it comes and has a killer smirk.
June Spearman worms her way into his heart before he even knows what hits him and turns his world absolutely upside down, sideways and inside out. June is determined, independent, and driven, and Sterling gives her much more than they bargained for when they first meet! The banter is witty, and sparks definitely fly, and the two of them challenge each other in amazing ways.

The audio, narrated by Aaron Shedlock and Emma Wilder, was fantastic. They do a wonderful job conveying the emotions, the humor and the sizzle in this story. A cameo by Sebastian York adds to the powerhouse narration of the audio.
