Good but but not a light read

I really liked the story and was instantly drawn in. Great writing and the narrator is wonderful. Be forewarned, this is somewhat a dark story at times, not a light read but very enjoyable

Enthralling, adventurous, mysterious

Loved this book; could not put it down! Beautiful writing, suspense, love of nature, the wild and humans, domestic violence, rage and murder. This book has it all! It was an adventure in love of many kinds: man and woman, humans and animals, twin sisters, and love of nature.

Outstanding!

I usually read non-fiction ecology based books. I was recommended this by a friend as an ecology based fiction book. I’m so glad I listened to this audio book, great way to switch it up and blend nature with fiction. I loved the narrators voice and style too, it made the story even better.

Wow!

This novel made my jaw drop more than once. It was a little slow in the beginning as it built the story, but I couldn’t put it down when I got to the law several chapters! Yes, it is a little dark—Triggers for SA and Violence; but it was so well written and had some great twists!

Powerful, beautiful, not light

This is a difficult story but beautifully told. It has a multi dimensional narrative that shows the strength of women. It also has a lot of interesting information about wolves.

An intriguing story and mystery that quickly grabs your attention. Just a bit too fanciful for a real life story in my opinion but definitely worth the credit.

Really really great story & awesome narrator. Everything I love in an audiobook, dark but not depressing, believable characters, Saskia character voice great as always. Hard to explain without spoilers but I think in this story there is something for everyone 👍👍
