The Furyck Saga continues with this spellbinding third volume in A.E. Rayne’s epic fantasy adventure.

The Following is closing in. Jael’s desperation to save Eadmund from Evaine’s spell leads her back to the place of her nightmares, where she quickly discovers that she is trapped. In Hest, Jaeger is hungry for power and vengeance, making an enemy of Berard, who is forced to confront the truth of what his brother has become as he tries to save Meena from Jaeger’s clutches. Determined to exact his long-dreamed-of revenge, Ivaar plots his return to Oss to destroy Eadmund and capture the throne at last. On the road again, Aleksander is visited in his dreams by the Widow, but will he heed her warnings in time?

As furious storms batter Osterland, the kingdoms scramble to protect themselves from familiar enemies. The true danger emerges from the shadows, ready to destroy them all....

Love the whole series. Well worth time, credits and/or money. Had a hard time putting the books on pause

This series is unbelievably ENTERTAINING! Seriously ENTERTAINING. AND DOESN’T STOP THE PACE!
Picked up the 1st book maybe, 10 days ago and was thrilled with it. FF to today and I’m downloading book 4 NOW. (And honestly cannot wait to devour it!)

I really can’t say enough about how amazing this series is.
It’s got RICH CHARACTER development, keeps the blood pumping, plot’s twisting, and surprisingly doesn’t get dull. Ever. I feel the love, the pain, the heartache, the wonder, the fury, the hope…it’s basically got ALL THE FEELS!!!!

I have over 600+ books here on Audible, much of the same genre, and USUALLY by the middle of the 3rd book the pace just…slows. So I pick up and start ANOTHER series hoping for the pull.
I feel like other series have said all they need to say/do by the end of the 2nd book and they are basically just trying to create new plots from the old. Regurgitated stories or backgrounds of characters, that just don’t hold any interest for me anymore.

This series is the opposite OF ALL THE OTHERS. WOW. This Author has a very unique style of storytelling that isn’t tying to fit 1 book into 3 just for more credits, and keeping the books 8hrs each. She gives us, the
reader-listeners (?) a full and comprehensive story that lasts 18+ hrs EACH! How many other books can you think of, in this genre, that are over 18hrs that you DO NOT find yourself rolling your eyes about and wanting to tell the book “hurry up already!”. I’m guessing not a ton of series, right?

The ONLY ONLY ONLY criticism I have is NOT JUST for this BOOK/SERIES.
And with that being said:
That is, using the same sounding NAMES for important characters! In this book alone there are Aiden, Adiss, Arik, Axel, Alexander, Adela, Amma, Andala (<—which is a CITY !) and MORE!!
All starting or sounding like ONE LETTER. In this case A, J, E etc.

*NOTHING IS MORE IRRITATING*
Than, when you start a new series and BAM 💥 right from the START: Adela, Axel, Alexander, Amma ALL IMPORTANT, but CONFUSING until finally you CAN easily recall a name by the time you get to the 2nd or 3rd book!

You try to get the “lay of the land”, & who-is-who and why…..when ANOTHER name that starts with the same LETTER AGAIN is read right into that chapter!!!! It drives me crazy! You have to either BOOKMARK the characters: Names and their Importance/Relation to refer back to, OR write it down so you don’t confuse Adiss with Adela or Amma etc.

It’s like trying to play scrabble and read out loud at the same time. Good if you want to test your intelligence, yes? Well, that’s not what we’re reading/listening for.
A book (fiction in general) is so you can relax. I’m reading a book to DE-STRESS. Trying to get away from the world for a while. Not to stress me the F-OUT!

————————————-**
*So again: NOT JUST THIS AUTHOR AND/OR BOOK/SERIES. It happens A LOT.
****ALL AUTHORS There are 26 letters in the alphabet….lets try to branch out a bit, please****
-sincerely,
Readers/Listeners. 😆

Each book moves the story along. Narrator enhances story. I recommend
for the storyline and I can’t wait to see how it ends…

Enjoyable Series

Again incredibly entertaining but I feel the performance slipped a bit with often no difference between the male and female character voices. I found some conversations confusing sure to the lack of transitions. So there are coveted psychic and telepathic abilities but magic is bad. Ok no problem, except it's not defined why. And gut wounds are survivable with homeopathic remedies apparently. Oh and they have the immortal possessed with their humanity turned off. Prayers are also answered with divine intervention. I prefer a world better defined, this inconsistency makes all perils completely unpredictable.

Good but a few things...
