Great tool to use while taking the 75 hour course!

I recommend this as a tool to use while taking the NYS 75 hour course. This book is concise and packed with information. Upon reaching the 50th page I was already at the same point I reached in my 75 hour course which took considerably longer..about 500 pages. I especially enjoy reading along using the included pdf which I saved to my phone & laptop. Overall, this book is making my career change experience much more enjoyable.

Great resource to use for practice.

In the process of listening to this audio. So far, so good. I just want to point out for those of you who are looking for the PDF that came along with the book and can't find it, you have to go on your Amazon account and look under digital orders and it should link you to your audible account where you would see your order (preferably on your computer). Click on the audiobook and you should see the pdf there.

I can’t find the PDF exam

Need to include a link to access the exam. The point in listening to this audible is so that you can take a self exam of your learnings. Dissapointed

Don't Purchase As a NYS Study Guide

It just keeps saying things like “check the laws in your state” - then why did I buy this book! At one point it uses a document from Michigan to review. It definitely is not a book for New York state laws and real estate practices. The only benefit I have received from this book is that it is easy to fall asleep to

Great for national content, poor at NY content

GIves info well for national info.

Lacks many NY specifics. For example,
- when defining 'net listing', doesn't say it's illegal in NY
- statute of limitations - doesn't give the number of years for NY
- minimum 3 years recordkeeping (they say generically 5 years)
- New York State real estate law forbids anyone who's not a licensed real estate agent from collecting a (finder) fee from a real estate transaction
- lawful occupation is included in NYC fair housing
- adverse possession in 10 years - they give info on other states but NOT NY

using NY in the book title is desceptive.

There is absolutely nothing specific to NY in this book. If you’re looking to prepare for your NY exam, keep looking.
