Resumen del Editor

I’ve never been a Daddy before, but now it’s all I want to be....

I’ve always thought Kinsey was hot AF, but now that I’ve come to know him, he’s so much more than a super sexy silver fox. He’s kind and caring and so damn courageous.

He’s also vulnerable and needy, and it lights me up like nothing else. I know I’m 20 years younger, but I want to take care of him.

I want to be his protector, his strong man, his knight in shining armor.

I want to be his Daddy.

New Daddy at 47 is part two of a duology, an emotional and yummy romance with an age gap, loads of hurt/comfort, and a beautiful Daddy/boy relationship that ends with an HEA. It also contains themes of addiction and religious homophobia.

Outstanding Loved it

Very moving store, I can relate to Kinsey's issues in his life being gay in an expected to be straight world.

Great Sequel To The First Book

- I first read the kindle version of this book along with the first book. John Solo does a great job narrating this story.

Compelling & Beautifully Heartfelt! Exceptional 🎧📚🎧

This is an amazing conclusion to the “Forty-Seven Duology” and this book is just as captivating as the first book, “Clean Start at Forty-Seven”, it also has all the feels and tugged on my heartstrings too. You can feel how much heart Nora Phoenix put into this story, the emotions pour off the pages and slammed into my heart. Kinsey and Benoni’s relationship continues to grow, morphing into something deeply meaningful and extraordinary. Kinsey is learning to put his demons and addictions behind him and is getting stronger, more confident while moving forward one step at a time and becoming the person he was always meant to be. And he could not have a better partner by his side, Benoni, is supportive and understanding, his patience and maturity level is admirable. And when Kinsey realizes what he wants and needs in a partner and lover, he gives him that and is a natural in his new role. This beautifully written and wonderfully plotted story, I loved how Kinsey and Benoni’s story played out, also loved how Kinsey worked to make things right with his family with no compromises. There are many loving and heartwarming moments that moved me like no other, and the sexy times were steamy and well done. Nora Phoenix, thank you for another amazing story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧 And for the fabulous narration, John Solo continues to deliver an outstanding performance, bringing these characters and their story to life. He has a complete understanding of the characters he portrays, gives each a voice that fits that character’s persona perfectly, sounding believable in every role he plays and just as I picture the character to sound. You could hear how much heart he puts into his work as he captures the characters’ emotions and projects them into his performance and has you feeling every single one. John Solo is an entertaining storyteller and versatile voice artist, his narration enhances an already brilliant story to another level. Thank you for another exceptional listen, it is always a pleasure to listen to your works.

It's All New

I love the way this story progresses seamlessly from the first book. This book seems to focus a bit more on their relationship with each other and with others that are part of their lives. I like how they strive to be honest and upfront. While there is pain and struggle that is seen between and the other characters that are part of their lives it was gratifying to see for the most part that they can move forward together and still maintain those relationships that are important. I know this little series is done but I kind of hope Leif gets a story someday.
I listened to the audio version and enjoyed it very much.

Spot On

These books nail the religious dogma and the emotional trauma? hurt? scars they can leave on your soul.
It's nice to read a book that one of the MC has problems. Doesn't start off smoking hot

Happy listening to a two book series

Nora Phoenix has written a romantic, touching, and sexy two book series. The trauma Kensey suffered in his parent's evangelical church by trying to deny his sexuality and "pray away" homosexual yearnings caused him to marry a woman, have two children, and live over 30 years slowly dying inside with misery. Kensey loves his two children, and doesn't want to hurt his wife even though he told her before they were married that he had yearnings for men. He's learned to set aside his personal needs in an effort to please his parents, his wife, his children, and essentially everyone in his life. As an ER doctor, he finds escape in being a workaholic, and, becoming addicted to Percocet and Oxycodone smooths out internal pain and guilt. At great cost Kensey hits bottom losing his job, family, and friends. When he leaves rehab and comes out to his wife, he had no one to support him except his sponsor, and eventually his trainer at the gym who works with him to improve his body. The relationship that develops between Kensey's trainer, Benoni, and himself is incredibly erotic. There are a number of twists and turns in the story as Kensey works hard for sobriety, health, and living authentically as an "out" gay man. After listening to the first book, I immediately bought the second and listened to it non-stop. I really really really liked this very relevant series and give it my highest reccomendation if you're into MM erotic romance, second chances, and honest living.
This was one of John Solo's best performances in my opinion. He didn't get too dramatic except when the scene really needed emphasis on the emotions of the characters. I loved his growly voice for Benoni - gave me shivers!

I LOVE THIS STORY!!!

Words cannot even describe how much I LOVE this story! Both books were a complete delight! I could not put it down once I started reading it! Benoni and Kinsey will truly be a continuous reminder in my heart and mind that anything is possible if you try hard enough. I recommend this book to anyone and everyone that likes a nice sweet Daddy/Boy relationship, hot steamy moments, heartfelt kisses, processing and dealing with trauma/addictions, and having to overcome those obstacles all in one! I give this book and the first one 5 stars! Honestly, I would give it more if I could! Outstanding read!

Mixed feelings

My problem with this book is the way religion is portrayed. I realize there are extreme churches and teachings out there. But there are so many more that are teaching the love of God. I was glad that Ben’s uncle was a Pastor with a positive message. We need more of that instead of stories that keep dwelling on how bad church is.

Ben’s character is really great. He is caring and patient with Kinsey. He gives him the space to find his place while he recovers.

The narration was not my favorite. I hated that he made Kinsey sound so weak and whiney when as a Dr., in recovery and overcoming his past, we know he is a strong. His voice for Ben was much better. I did enjoy much of this book but others were just too cringe worthy for me.

Too long & too many characters to follow

This and its predecessor were not really described as treatises on the "daddy/son" relationships in gay subculture which were of little interest to myself. The whinny "please daddy" was uttered by the main character so many times it became farcical. I would not recommend these two books.
