Now that she's been knitting up a storm with the help of her new friends at House of Lambspun, Kelly Flynn can't imagine ever leaving Fort Connor, Colorado. But there's trouble in her adopted hometown - and not just with her new sweater project....

When Kelly volunteers to take a troop of tourists to visit Vickie Claymore's alpaca farm, she discovers Fort Connor isn't as sedate as it seems. Instead of a warm welcome, they find Vickie splayed out on her original hand-woven rug, her blood seeping into the design....

The police jump on the case, but Kelly can't resist doing a little investigation work of her own - even if it means taking a break from the sweater she's been knitting in the round. Because a murderer is lurking in Fort Connor - waiting for the right moment to strike again.

I like the plot and the romance well enough. The author uses the same, somewhat jarring, words over and over. A quarter for every time a person "probed" would have paid for the book. I get a real feel for the scene and I like the characters. I found myself cringing when certain words or phrases were reused over and over.

Story is good, the author needs a thesaurus

I’m not happy criticizing anyone’s work. I hear how clearly she speaks, but am finding her narration extremely irritating.

This is an OK cozy mystery. It's short on mystery and long on female bonding. Everything falls into to place without drama or suspense. I'm not sure I'll get the next one.

So far I have liked the first 2 books and am enjoying number 3 now. I hope the entire series will be coming to Audible as I see number 9 and 15 were released. I would like to listen to all in order so I may wait awhile to see if more come out on Audible.
