emerging modern mysticism

The authors he chooses to make a lot of sense and have already viewed many of them it was fun to have a personalized perspective on their character and life's work. Since I'm a full modern with only fumes for metaphysical baggage I found it helpful to have a bloodhound sniff out the address for me. Many of the authors don't publish their metaphysics in the harsher light I would like, for apparent purposes. Though I didn't lose reverence for them because of it.

The essential audible on classical mysticism from all traditions. Old but good. Not about psychics, mediums, or magical beliefs. Includes lots of quotes from sources, both well-known and unknown. If you're interested in what real mysticism is, or are a mystic, or are just curious about this consistent human experience, get this work.

This is the most profound and life-changing information I've listen to, and I do have a rather solid collection of obscure audible. And the most extraordinary aspect of the work is that And yet it goes so deep into the Mysteries and teaches meditation in a way that is so easy to understand. It explains complex concepts with such ease, and for the first time, I feel like I uncovered how to meditate.

This book has significantly affected my life. Get it and perused in it regularly. God is accessible to anybody.

only a mystic can listen to about mysticism

The author states at one point that only a mystic can communicate about mysticism, or rather about the true mystic experience. Conventional language, mere words, are poor tools for expressing transcendent reality. Despite this I found myself exclaiming again and again during my treatment that I knew exactly what was being described.

Her exposition of the mystical level of the Grail inscription, art, and spiritual practice makes it a must-have for any student. Her understanding of the mystical path of purgation, illumination, and union opens such texts as the Divine Comedy to a broad audience.

Setting the record straight

I love this audible! An impressive and sole guide to mysticism. The narrator is far too slow and cannot pronounce many of the simplest words though. At times it made the audiobook difficult to listen to.

Despite the title of this work, there is no such thing as rational mysticism. This audible is a critical discussion of mystical realities: how they happen, what they are like, what they mean, and their effects on people who encounter them. The author describes their ideas and then explains them critically, analyzing their logic and relevant evidence.

A classic gem on Western Mysticism

I first found this audible when I was an undergraduate student taking a Mysticism course at a Jesuit University. At the time, the audible was out of print and the professor thought it was so valuable he photocopied it for everyone in the class at his own expense. I agree with him that this work is unique and valuable.
