Nathaniel Parker, born in 1962, graduated from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art and went on to join the Royal Shakespeare Company. His television career began in 1988 when he played Flying Officer 'Flash' Gordon in the LWT mini-series "Piece of Cake". He is also the lead in the BBC series "The Inspector Lynley Mysteries", based on the novels by Elizabeth George. Nathaniel Parker has an extensive list of audio books to his credit, ranging from the classics of Charles Dickens and Thomas Hardy to more modern writings and children's books.

Lighthearted snack, moves right along

This first installment is to set the characters and locations in place. Narrator does a good job. we will have to see if the following installments provide any challenge to the listener in terms of plot. Very good audio quality.

Delightful British Mystery Fare

Nathaniel Parker does a wonderful job of narrating this “British countryside murder mystery. The story is fun, interesting, and well-paced. Mr. Parker is superb with different voices and accents —even American!

Great Cozy Mystery

Enjoyed this story immensely. I loved the contrast between the two main characters. Give it a try; you won't regret it. 😊

Brilliant, sweet cozy/murder mystery and historical piece

If you want an escape into a witty, winsome, fast-paced world in the swinging 1920s, this book delivers. I listened to it once in February and then after the pandemic hit I listened to it all over again in my spare moments. Smart, funny murder mystery with delightful characters who are trained spies—one American and one a British lord. A+

cozy quick mystery

Not a terribly difficult who-done-it to figure....but entertaining still! I will very likely be getting any sequels. They are also short, so you are not investing heavily in time. worked great for my commutes to and from work.

New Series and I like it

I am a huge fan of the authors Cherringham series. This new storyline does not disappoint. Am looking forward to hearing more by this narrator as well.

Easy read. Fun story. well performed.Not terribly completed. I recommend it for leisurely escapism. Good fun read.

Fun new series

Enjoyed this. A light new series in the traditional vein. As usual, Nathaniel Parker is fantastic. Looking forward to the next in the series.
