In her 80s she was robbed of her ability to cook by a debilitating stroke. But illness has brought her closer than ever to her son. Peter regularly visits her so they can share meals and he can ask questions about her colorful past while learning her kitchen secrets. Gradually his ambition becomes manifest: He decides to learn how to cook his mother the meal of her dreams and thereby tell the story of her life to all those who have loved her.

A bit too much repetition of events but a very interesting story of an iconic family and their businesses.
Couldn't figure out hue to get the PDF files for the recipes!!

For the love of Mothers

This is the perfect book to read after the passing of my mom. So much was relevant. At 96 mom was ready. I miss her, but I know she is dancing with the angels.

Full of warmth, humor, love and practical cooking advice, this book is a keeper to reread for cooking inspirations.
Now that we know Peters cats and family, he has to write more for us to live vicariously thru his words.
