Absolutely wonderful story

Loved the characters, storyline. narrators!! Everything was perfect!. The narration was phenomenal. And the characters banter was hilarious. Absolutely wonderful listen

An amazing listen

Jane Darling lands herself the star QB - kind of, maybe!!

Jasper is all in but Jane is worried about being a burden in him.

This story continues the story of the Darling siblings & the amazing side characters in their world.

The have both had hard times. Jane became

Just Darling!

I loved this story! The narrators were just perfect! Another great one from Ilsa Madden-Mills!

No complaints. Really loved all of this. The trope, the narration, the story, all of it. Glad I got to listen to this story.

Couldn't put it down

Wow! The follow-up to My Darling Bride does not disappoint. I couldn't put the book down. Jane is closed off and a bit frightened. Jasper is damaged but he is intrigued by Jane. Their romance starts off with banter and misunderstandings that then turn into deep conversations and steamy nights. I love the seamless way their romance just evolved. I appreciate that there is no 3rd act break-up, and their is no baby-mama/baby-daddy drama.

My Darling QB

Loved Jane and Jasper and their complicated “we’re just friends” (who bang) romance story. I love that these two have so much in common and learn that as they fall for each other.

The voice actors did a great job with this book. This was actually a re-read for me and honestly they did so well it almost felt like an entirely new book.

Recommend to anyone who enjoys frenemies to lovers with a sprinkle in some abandonment trauma, and a single mom trying to matchmake a footballer.

Charming!

I really loved me some Jasper and Jane! I loved how into her he was from the beginning! He let her play matchmaker just to spend time with her and shoot his shot! He was just a genuinely good guy and I loved their park date with Londyn! Their push and pull was intense and so much fun to watch build up! When they finally got their moment their chemistry just exploded off the page! I also loved the side plots of Londyn’s sperm donor and Jasper’s wackadoddle birth mom, they definitely kept the plot interesting!

This was a great 2nd book in the series. I loved the narration 100%! I love Sebastian Yorks narration.

👩‍❤️‍👨 Miscommunication plays a starring role here, and not always for the better. Jane often chooses avoidance over honesty, leading to unnecessary complications (and plenty of frustration).

👩‍👦 While Jane’s devotion to her daughter is admirable, her decision-making leaves much to be desired. Jasper, meanwhile, shines in moments of emotional clarity, especially when it comes to standing firm against his manipulative mother (“I won’t be a bank to someone who couldn’t be a mother” – a standout line!). However, both characters struggle under the weight of their respective traumas, which sometimes threatens to overshadow the romance entirely.

💞 Despite its flaws, the story doesn’t shy away from messy, unresolved emotions. The leads' personal struggles—Jane’s financial instability and Jasper’s fraught family relationships—add depth but occasionally bog down the pacing. However, it’s refreshing that not every conflict is conveniently resolved, lending the story a sense of realism amidst the drama.
