Fun and chaotic!

This is a modern retelling of Cinderella in which the grumpy billionaire falls for an endearing thief. After falling head over heels for the first book in the series, I was excited to read/listen to this second installment.

✨ Thoughts ✨
In simple terms, this novel is fun and chaotic. The unpredictable actions of Farrow and Zack kept me on the edge of my seat, unsure of what would happen next. While their romance was fascinating, there were moments when it spun out of control, leaving me emotionally whiplashed.

I must admit, it was difficult for me to fully connect with the main characters as their immaturity seemed to overshadow their age. I longed for the smooth banter delivered in "My Dark Romeo." The chemistry between the main characters felt somewhat contrived. Both Farrow and Zack were in desperate need of serious therapy. However, I did love the side characters who brought an enjoyable dynamic to the story, and I'm eagerly anticipating Ollie and Frankie's story!

🎧The narration was decent. I adore Callie Dalton's performance, but the male narrator didn't quite capture Zack's essence. Nevertheless, they both put in admirable effort. Overall, if you have a fondness for Cinderella retellings, this audiobook holds great potential and is well worth the experience.

Funny, Ridiculous, Sexy

I love these books. I don’t love the male narrator on this one. He sounds like Donald Trump sometimes lol. But the story is funny and sexy. I will def read/listen to the next one.

Zach's mom turned into a cupid, nudging him to find love and break free from his work cocoon. Reluctant as he was, Zach got swept up in the whirlwind. Meanwhile, Farrow set off on a wild adventure to retrieve a family treasure, only to stumble upon Zach cradling the precious heirloom. As secrets unraveled and schemes were uncovered, Zach flipped the script and offered Farrow a gig, sparking a fiery dynamic between them. After some witty banter, the duo struck a hilarious deal that had me giggling along with their witty exchanges. Those group text messages were comedy gold!

I totally devoured this book 🥰

I literally lost a whole night of sleeping reading this book. I read it on and off the entire day, then completely dove into it that night, and finished it at 6am the next morning 😂 I love the first book in this series so I guess no surprise that I utterly loved the second book. L.J. Shen and Parker S. Huntington are a match made in my personal heaven and I never want to leave the world they create. I need more now please lol 🥰

All the characters stood out. Well done

This is my favorite book so far. I enjoyed it and couldn’t wait to listen to it every chance I got. In my way to work on my way home and doing my walks and house work. Thank you.
