I liked this

There's a reason I don't read reviews before reading/listening to books. I really enjoyed this. I wasn't sure if I'd continue with the series after Book 1. That seemed very disjointed and hard to enjoy. But this one I did like.

I'm a fan of bluestockings and throw in a Duke who's afraid (although he'll never admit to that) to fall in love. Maybe it's the ancient family curse or maybe it's his occupation but he won't allow himself to admit his love for Kate.

Now throw in spies, ocean voyages, kidnapping, and a cave exploration worthy of Indiana Jones. This is a long book but I found it easy to listen to and follow. Narrator was good. I will continue with the series.

flighty female

Not a bad story, but why make the female (who's supposedly smart and raised with man's education) so flighty at times?? It's the typical "all he'll is breaking loose and she decides that the time to take a stand and not move until she says what's on her mind!"

Dangerously delicious!

This was SO much fun... a crazy ride through unbelievable adventure and the treacherous waters of the hearts truest desires.
Excellent narration, incredible heated romance and a credit well spent!

Loved this book!!!!

This book was one of my favorites. I was on the edge of my seat throughout and I finished the book in about a day because of it. I highly recommend this book. I also thought the narrator was excellent which can make or break an audiobook!

This is the first book from Foley I've listened to. Loved it!! The narrator was splendid!! Going to look for more books👍🏼

Compelling and better than the 1st book in the series. Creative and original storyline and would reccomend!

Kate had such a darling character

I really enjoyed reading this book although it took me almost a week and a half to do so. The characters seem real and the interactions believable. I have purchased another book I have been wanting to read but I would love to get back to this series after I finish that book and find-out what happens next.

Syrupy romance

I enjoyed the plot with Fantasy type organizations but felt there was something off in the use of modern day vocabulary like condom and syrupy aspects of the romance.

British Romance meets Goonies

The story was good, slow in some parts that seem to drag on, but not terribly steamy.

Absolutely Amazing! Superb Narration!

I loved this book! It was so good from beginning to end!

Wow was this story good. I really loved these two characters together. Rohen and Kate had some great chemistry and banter. Some of the best written sex scenes I have read. Just excellent writing and story telling going on here.

The story line and plot was great. I loved the conspiracy, kidnapping, sword fight, mystery and all the action. You don't get a lot of that in historical romance books but this one had it all.

I highly recommend this book 100%

As for the narration, well Marian Hussey is one of my very favorite narrators so not only was the story good the narrator made it even better. She does such a great job on the men's voices. Every person gets their own distinct voice and her reading voice is amazing. She reads with emotion and is just a super narrator!
