I read the first to books and enjoyed the anime this gives me the same feeling of thrill and excitement

This One Hit Different—More Than Just Survival

Volume 3 changed everything for me. Up to this point, Rudy’s journey felt like growth in a safe zone—learning magic, tutoring Eris, building relationships. But when that teleportation disaster happened? It threw me as hard as it threw him.

Suddenly, Rudy and Eris are on their own, no backup, no teachers, and no clue where they are. It’s a terrifying shift, and I felt that. I could relate to the panic, the uncertainty—and that moment when you realize, no one’s coming to save you.

Ruijerd’s introduction gave me chills. Everything we’ve been told says he’s a monster, but what we see is a man burdened by a tragic legacy. His sense of honor and loyalty made me respect him immediately. Honestly, he might be one of my favorite characters now—and I didn’t expect that at all.

Eris grew on me here too. She’s still wild, but when push comes to shove, she shows real strength—and not just in battle. Her loyalty to Rudy, even when things get dangerous, felt earned and emotional. Their little campfire moments hit me in the chest.

Cliff Kirk's narration once again pulls it all together. His tone for Ruijerd is perfect—like a battle-worn knight who’s done being misunderstood. And Rudy’s internal monologue? Still awkward, still honest, still totally relatable.

For me, this is the volume where Mushoku Tensei leveled up. It stopped being a story about second chances and started being a journey I didn’t want to end. This one isn’t just an adventure—it’s a trial by fire that tests everything Rudy’s learned so far.

Amazing storytelling

this series is really well written the the performance by the reader was great. He really shows the emotion behind the characters lines.

Still loving the story

This author never ceases to amaze me I love the world building and how he keeps it interesting.

Another Peak Entry Super Funny

I cant even count how many times this volume made me laugh from the jokes with his first meeting with hitogami all the way to just jokes with ruijard and his internal manalog. Rudues really just says some of the most wild things sometimes and sometimes it seems random but that's just how hw is and its amazing definitely recommenced cant wait for the next book and the ones even beyond.

what I've been wishing for

thank the heavens if they exist that they finally turned this into and audiobook I've been dreaming for this I got so far in the series but because I work and hate reading sometimes due to time consuming things I've been wishing for this I love this series yayyyy

I absolutely love this series. Such a great story. Can’t wait to listen to all 26 volumes if you’re in any kind of  isekai story the stories for you can’t wait for volume 4

Another fun ride!

I already finished both seasons of the anime. Im also reading the manga in conjunction the light novel audiobook. I listen during my daily commutes and I just picture the scenes in my head from both mangaa and anime. I’m loving it! Even though I prefer the Japanese pronunciation of the names since my introduction of the series was in Japanese (I have been living in Japan since 2014) the narrator does an awesome job!
