Love this book!. the characters ... the unpredictability and the whole vibe of the story. it is a story of redemption and forgiveness, ultimately . will there be a book 3? judging by the last sentence....possibly!

I discovered Laini Taylor with her Smoke and Bone series but I have to say that I think I love these stories even more. I just did not want the audio book to end! Amazing character arcs, immersive colors and story lines are intricately weaved throughout this book. I am going to enjoy listening to it again because I can see that there are so many layers. Wow Laini thank you for your art and imagination. Also wonderful narration by Steve West! Who portrayed each character with exquisite subtlety and finesse. Beautifully narrated. Brilliant!

like two halves that should have been a whole

I'm really glad I got to read , finish the story and that it was happy 😊 cuz otherwise I'd fine you🫠😇 but I feel the 2 books should have been one and that they should have saved the ghost catcher first before meeting the gift 🎁 steeler(pirate) but that's just me being bitter that they couldn't save the dream walkers body even though they have the orchid witch who could just grow her a new body with the DNA of he baby teeth after she regrew hearts 💕 and that spectral could have been brought back by ghost catcher by latching on to the string of the bird and pulling the spectral back again 😉 and that the time guy could have caught her or reversed time or dream walker could have easily caught her as she fell because.....Ghost 👻 but that's just me and like Lazlo I'd pick eagle or hawk for my ship

Satisfyingly creative sequel to Strange the Dreamer

Laini Taylor is an original; and so are her works. Ever since I took a chance on reading Daughter of Smoke and Bone, I’ve been hooked. The depth of her creativity always knocks me over. I don’t like horror, but I deal with any horrific parts to get to the pure gold at the center. These are not stories for children, even though there are many parts with the joy of a child. And the love transcends all.
Enter her world at your own risk and prepare to be dazzled.
West does a good job of narration.
Yes, recommend!

All I can say is oh my gods I love this story and the world! I didn't think I could love it more than Strange the Dreamer, but what a finish....?!
