Highly Suspenseful

This is beautiful. Very well thought out and very well written. For me, it wasn’t “who did it”, but rather “WHY”??? I enjoyed the surrounding stories as well. A whole host of new characters in another town made the story very good.

You never know what Kitty and Matt will get up to! They cannot take a vacation without murder! Love this series!

Great narration

Plot was great. I expected the hideous figurine to have a camera inside. I was wrong!

Great Story from Helena as Always

I love Kitty's and Matt's adventures, but I have to say, they are the most unromantic couple I've encountered in a novel. They are almost like friends or roommates. Nonetheless the story is great and stays interesting from beginning to end!

I just love Kitty and Matt and their extraordinary adventures. It’s always kind of sad when the book is finished but the anticipation just begins again for the next wonderful tale!!

Always a fun story

I just love the light hearted stories and generally happy endings of this series. I also loved
Rhys Bowen’s series and on the search for my next one…

My least favorite story but still enjoyable

I've mentioned before that the narrator sounds much the same when it's Matt and the now Chief Inspector. It's frustrating to have to wait for context clues to know who is talking. In this book, Matt's Aunt always sounded like a man, so I was confused a few times as to who was speaking.
The person who ended up being the killer had a kind of twisted reasoning and I couldn't find it believable. Other than that, it was the usual enjoyable cosy mystery set in the mid 1930's!
