Great

I really enjoyed the whole experience. The author’s descriptive language is beautiful. I loved the use of the senses as if the words could be tasted. Loved this so much.

The narration is painful

To be honest I didn't like any of the characters. The children, Alma and Roop are insufferable and maybe a little demented, especially little Roop who enjoys torturing animals.

The narrator's inflection goes from everything sounding like a question to breathless anticipation. It was very hard to get through. Why didn't they pick someone who could pronounce Urdu/Hindi words?

I am bummed I wasted a credit.
