loved ellie and Chandler

Oh my goodness this was so flipping good. Let me start with Ellie. I absolutely adored her. She's naive because of her sheltered upbringing but she's smart and brave and bold. She is unfiltered and curious and all of that combined is incredibly endearing.
Chandler is broken and a little bitter. He's becoming more and more disenchanted with his work. Too many tough cases have him feeling down on himself.
But Ellie is like a ray of sunshine in his darkness. And he's her breath of fresh air, after feeling suffocated for so long. I loved these two. I loved their banter. I loved their flirting. I loved all the things!
The suspense in this book was fantastic. I was kept guessing for so long. Every which way it felt like there was a new possible bad guy. Add to that some super steamy scenes, and the brilliant narration by Teddy Hamilton and Kelsey Navarro and you've got a truly fantastic audiobook.

The plot of this story is very much like most of KM’s novels; but since I enjoy her style, that’s a good thing. We met the Hero in book one, of this series but, the Heroine is a new character.

The Hero is an FBI profiler, who’s a very protective Alpha male(my favorite kind) The Heroine is young women who was raised in a cult and suffered both physical and mental abuse; to include behavioral conditioning. She is not a weak character, however. She has begun an independent life, away from the cult, for the first time in her life and since she does not have legal documentation, survival is tough.

Chandler, the Hero, has a dark past, also. He is the only man on his profiling team, and since one of his female teammates was abducted and killed, he has been taking as many of the assignments, as he can, out of guilt and fear that another teammate might be harmed. He is exhausted, guilt ridden and lonely,

During the investigation, this unlikely pair recognizes their respective darkness and common ground is found.

Their are scenes of rape, torture and abuse but, they are not long or often. There is also a few explicit sex scenes, but it’s not overdone.

I enjoyed this book and am looking forward to the release of book three.

What a ride?!

This book had suspense and darkness and some unexpected twists. Kennedy has me on edge the whole time. I wanted to keep reading but didn't want it to end. Ellie and Chandler's story is so good. The narrators, Kelsey Navarro and Teddy Hamilton sealed the deal.

Full of action, suspense and surprises!

Yikes! I enjoyed listening to this creepy yet enthralling listen. I really LOVE this authors stories. Her bad guys…they are over the top BAD..the things they do just makes my skin crawl and my ears shiver. The good guys..are still a little bad but its for all the right reasons. The females are all smart, strong and are unique.

Overall I love listening to this authors stories. They are mind boggling and I am always on edge trying to figure out who the killer is and I am always surprised when My guesses are wrong. I look forward to the next in this series! Especially after listening to the sample!! The narrators do a great job in here as well!

I could not stop listening to this book. I was hooked from the very beginning until the last page....

Be ready for so much suspense and a lot of steam!!

Good story annoying female voice

Enjoyed the story and storyline, but the female voice was very annoying and forced sounding. It was difficult to keep listening to her

A good second book

I was delightfully surprised on the storyline of the first book. I liked the suspense and romance. This book is very similar and although I liked the romance I honestly didn’t feel their connection even though I wanted to for both of the characters sakes. Interesting storyline again. I like the writing style. Actually descriptive of abuse scenes made me a bit sick to my stomach so obviously they were well written.

Pretty high marks for this book

This was super enjoyable. I won the book in a contest and I have to say, I need to go purchase the first book because I loved this one. He held me on, I loved the plot and Teddy slayed the narration. Kelsey did good, she just, sometimes, gets this bored tone to her narration. It didn’t take away from the story maybe I just wanted more astonishment in certain parts of the story because Ellie was suppose to be so sheltered from living with the cult and in the tiny town for so long.

Sexy!

Talk about sexiness and suspense wrapped in a small package. This audiobook packs a punch as Chandler and Ellie is brought to me with the pleasure of Teddy and Kelsey’s narrating.
