When blindness struck in her teens, it appeared her passion for riding would come to an end. How could she jump hurdles when she could barely navigate through her own home?

But success, trust, and love came to Lissa when her trainer convinced her to buy a "diamond in the rough" from Germany. On New Year's Eve, Milo arrived at the barn, frightened and neglected. Taking one look at his shaking, filthy body, Lissa promised Milo that he would only know kindness. Through countless eye surgeries and the many months of training and work, Lissa and Milo formed a magic bond that made them inseparable.

Loved the story

I didn’t love the reader. But I am happy I stuck with it for the story.

love the horse. The owner is a big baby whiner. get over yourself. If you have a handicap don't expect people to treat you differently.

this is a beautiful story of a girl who fell in love before she could even write her name. then she looses her eye from a terrible disease but continues to surprise the doctors by riding soon after each surgery. on new years eve, she is eagerly awaiting the arrival of her new horse, and when he arrives, He is trembling and terrified, but she manages to bond with him over treats and snuggles. after 2 years of riding him in competitions and winning most of them. She overhears a conversation between her mother and one of her friends, and she thinks that she's bankrupting her mom, so she sells milo. the ending of this story is like most endings to the story of a horse. It is sad in heart wrenchin. the ending of this book is like the ending of the book Joey, which, by the way, if you haven't listened to, please go check it out but it is sad. And it makes you think of all the pets and animals that you loved and lost.. it is a beautiful story. ❤️

Amazing story

Amazing story. I wasn't crazy about the way it was narrated. The narrator seemed to emphasize every sentence which got tiring.

What an amazing and inspirational story. Going to go home and hug my horses. Hearing their story reminds me that anything is possible with hard work, love, teamwork and trust. Horses are some special beings for sure. They came in to each other’s lives just at the right moments.

Future Disney movie

An inspiring story of a brave hearted duo, overcoming the odds together. Great listen. There is just something about this that epitomizes the American spirit and further confirms the importance of connection between people and animals.

Inspirational Listen

The highest of highs and lowest of lows. Proving over and over that mind over matter is the most amazing thing and can prevail if the will is strong enough. Most importantly, the undeniable bond between an extra special horse and HIS HUMAN should never be discounted or ignored and should definitively be cherished. This is a great reminder to always open your mind and hear your horse!!!
