Heartfelt and Inspiring

Beautifully written and narrated. it felt as though you were there. This is a very touching story and Joey goes on to inspire others as long as his story is in circulation. ❤

Touching book

Such an emotional book that brought understanding and reflection on my own life. Living only 40 min from the ranch I hate I was never able to meet the amazing horse who touched so many lives.

A real horse love story

This book touched my heart in so many ways. It does have more religious connotations but they don't take away from the true story of a horse who touched everyone's heart even now as he is in Horsey Heaven. I highly recommend!

Why Joey will always touch people’s hearts and lead them blindly into faith

There was almost nothing I didn’t like about Joey, the only thing that I didn’t like was how sad it made me when the book ended. It was a continuous cycle of “worry and trust” when things seemed too sad to be happening. Although that seemed to be a reason why it was so heart warming.

It wouldn’t have made me reevaluate my life in such a meaningful way if I hadn’t seen the picture of a beautiful spotted horse in the window of a small shop at the airport and immediately tapped my mom’s shoulder about the book, I never would have experienced the joy reading/listening to this audiobook brought me.And coming from something that I loved more than anything, (horses) it was especially meaningful.
Even if you don’t ride, or have any particular connection with horses, this book will still reach out to your heart and make you wish you knew Joey personally.

This book has inspired me to use my horses to help local individuals. I have rescued animals for years and recently quit my teaching position after too many heartbreaking stories. I was a special education teacher at a high school for the more severe students…I was flooded with happy emotional tears several times while listening to this book. My former students were racing through my head. It’s amazing how God works through animals.

This was a wonderful, thought-provoking story about a wonderful therapeutic riding program and one of its foundation horses, Joey. It is a story about how God uses the weak things of the world to teach profound truths.
