Good Story - Poor Narrator

It was a good story overall however the narrator was very monotone, and was hard to listen to at times.

No one will want to hold JM's hand after this

An amazing book that highlights the good and the not so good of John Mellencamp's amazing life..

Interesting Person

I loved learning about JM. What an interesting, complicated person. His art has added much to my life and now I have a better understanding why.

book was great until

loved the book and stories until the end where John decided to jam his political agenda down our throats.

I expected it to be better

I had a hard time finishing this book. it seemed to get boring about half way through it

50 year fan

If you have been a long time fan, I recommend this book. It’s read very well. John has always had a reputation for being “difficult “ this is most definitely focused on, but a true artist, poet, genius in my opinion. I would love to know what John thinks of it… and Rock on Simon and Schuster.. I’m a former employee that wishes I’d never left the building!

Learned a lot about JM, wish less political

I liked learning about JM and his life but I wish this book was less political. Nonetheless, I’m glad I listened to it.

what did i learn, return a boring book. I liked him more before, the end of the book was look how great John was/is.
