In addition, his work has influenced the development of 20th-century American Buddhism and the Theosophical tradition.

Brilliant

Read with heart from the heart. Listen slowly with an ear to the poetry. The sound of the words will dazzle the spirit and nourish your being. What a treasure. Beautifully read. Gladdens the listener and the listener within.

Deep valuable advice

The advice given in this book is rich. Have listened twice through and will revisit a third time and more if necessary to properly take it all in.

Something for the open minded

Interesting for open minded Christians and the spiritually curious. Enjoyable for quick or long listens. The narrator reads very slowly, so I listened at 1.5 speed, which made it sound normal.

good curation, poor delivery

if you are looking for bite-sized condensed curation of Meister eckhart's thoughts and teachings, this is a great place to get it. it's a quick read with plenty of little quotes to latch on to. I understand they are not his quotes, as is explained in the beginning of this book. however, I must deduct points for the vocal delivery. the reader over enunciated, had absolutely no flow, and was not trying to be poetic at all. it sounded like he was reading out loud in order to maximize a voice to text engine. like the way I am doing right now into my phone, in order to make sure it gets every word exactly right. very stilted and robotic. if they placed some light, modern, Spacey synth pads behind the voice, chose a narrator with a deeper voice and a more poetic delivery, this could have been an excellent meditative experience.
