But the war in Africa is no easy task. Scipio, Cato and Caesar's one-time lieutenant Labienus have gathered an enormous force to counter him, and are prepared to fight to the death. Another enjoyable listen.
Hard job writing this series at this historical period. It’s historical fiction. If you’ve read source material you have had to make many judgments. I enjoy the characters developed and enjoy the work of Malk Williams. I will listen to this book several times. I’m retired and basically bedridden. A guilty pleasure that keeps my mind occupied. I spent years reading and listening to none fiction on the time period. Hard to really know much solid history in this the best document period of Roman history but most of the book fits events. It’s just fun for me. If you enjoy historical fiction this is a wonderful series.
