Acerca de esta escucha

This book is for anyone who has ever wept and wondered, "Why?" Peter Kreeft observes that our world is full of billions of normal lives that have been touched by apparently pointless and random suffering. This account of a real and honest personal quest is both engaging and convincing.

Written from a deep well of wisdom derived from experience and careful observation, Making Sense Out of Suffering is a book for empty hearts, not full ones. Listen to it if you are hungry for insight into the mystery of suffering. A Servant Book.

This is an excellent example of Peter Kreeft at his best. And the reader is so good. I would recommend it to anyone who has questions about the Christian faith.

Excellent book

I don’t usually leave reviews for anything, but I had to say something about this audio book. While the actual content of the book may be interesting and compelling, the reader’s performance was so distracting and annoying that I had great difficulty finishing the book. Instead of simply reading the text clearly like in so many other books I’ve listened to, this reader took it upon himself to read every single quotation (of which there are many) in different voices, often with silly accents. Not only that, but he butchered the majority of names mentioned in the book, sometimes pausing before mispronouncing names that he found particularly challenging. This reader may be well suited to read dramatized novels, but his style was absolutely irritating and distracting in this non-fiction work.

Insufferable Reader

Kreeft writes with the art of a dialoguing Plato and the systematicity of an Aquinas! One quibble—While most very good, the narrator mispronounces many words. I strongly recommend this book, however.

Kreeft is great!

The narration made the author’s words come alive. For something that was very theological, the author’s humor shone through to make this a very interesting, compelling and enjoyable read.

Captivating narration

but also some question begging and circular logic. it's a mixed bag. You're going to get that anytime someone goes in with a prefigured conclusion

Some good stuff...
