Resumen del Editor

My title explains itself. But it's misleading. There are more than 40 reasons.

In fact, there are at least 10 to the 82nd power, which, I am told, is the number of atoms in the universe. And that's just in ordinary matter, which makes up only four-point-nine percent of the universe, the rest being dark matter and dark energy.

Each of my reasons is an independent point, so I have not organized this book by a succession of chapters or headings. After all, most people only remember a few big ideas or separate points after reading or listening to a book. I've never heard anyone say "Oh, that was a good continuous-process-of-logically-ordered-argumentation" but I've often heard people say, "Oh, that was a good point."

Which takes me back to my main point: "Why are you a Catholic?" is a good question.

A good question deserves a good answer. Here are 40 of mine.

A great summary of the Catholic Faith

Professor Kreeft provides an outstanding defense of his Catholic faith that is readily accessible to all. It will be of particular interest to Protestants who are curious about the Catholic faith.

Truth

Compelling reasons for the truth found in Catholicism. Kreeft states very logical reasons which are practical and down to earth and easy to follow.

short sweet and meaningful

i really enjoyed the humor and the meaninful Bible based content. It helps us Catholics to have some anchors to help us defend our choice in faith not so much to others...but to ourselves.

Helpful

I found this book to be clear and succinct. Helpful during troubling times to be able to articulate solid and non negotiable reasons.
Thank you Dr Kreeft

Excellent and Succint

This book exquisitely, intelligently, philosophically, and theologically explains the necessity of the Catholic Faith. I highly recommend this tiny tome of wisdom to everyone, especially those struggling to find God and protestants struggling to find the true answers to Faith.

Truth

Great Apologetics, I will be listening to this many times over. Very intellectually simplified, must read or listen.

As a Protestant exploring Catholicism, this work is beautifully and paradoxically comprehensive and succinct.

As a Protestant exploring Catholicism, this work is beautifully and paradoxically comprehensive and succinct. I consider my self fairly well read in Catholicism over the past year (Hahn, Aikens, Trent, Barron, Ratzinger, Madrid, Cavins, Pitre, etc.). Maybe all that foundation plays into my reaction to this work by Peter Kreeft. He specifics in massive volumes with very few, but well chosen words, examples, and resources.

At age 64, a follower of Christ for well over 43 of those years, in a twist of King Agrippa’s response to the Apostle Paul, “I think in a very short book, Peter doeth much to persuade me to become Catholic.”
