Good story to zone out to
I love amateur sleuth stories, but this took awhile to get to the point. it's bubbly and carefree. no deep thinking needed. keeps your attention while wondering if the mystery is as bad as its presented to be.

Not a fan
I probably am the wrong audience for this story. I should’ve realized from the premise but I was lured in by the narrator who I really enjoy as well as the reviews comparing it to the books by Ellery Adams. Didn’t really like the main character or her world view. As for the comparison to Ellery Adams, I guess I can see it sort of but the off-putting elements just turned me off

I love the story.

LOVED IT!!!
Magic, Lies, and Deadly Pies is a well written cozy mystery with engaging characters and an amazing plot. I loved this book and was drawn into the story immediately. I can't wait for the next book.

Boring, repetitive
Returned this book after waisting 4 hrs, hoping that it somehow would turn into something that would spark my interest in any character or even story. But nothing could save it for me.
I have marked it as a "ignore any future books in this series" in my ebook database.
