It took me a bit to get into the story, but overall it was enjoyable, plenty of twists and angst.

I already loved this book, but man, the narration upped it!! Then, I have a thing for accents, especially Irish ones, so yeah...
Though I truly wish dual audiobooks would have the female do female characters and the male, males. I have only seen this is one series I listen to though.

Such amazing narrators and story!

I loved how the narrators had accents that were true to the characters! They certainly brought this story to life in my head and I would love to listen to more of VI’s stories! With this being my first story for all 3, I can say it was a pleasant surprise for me.

I have to say that I was a big fan of this story. Maeve had me from the beginning! Her home life, her determination.... I was all for being #TeamMaeve. Jack had me quite angry for a bit. But when he started to turn swoony..... he went all out! At least in his head, lol..... I don't think that he ever quite worded his feelings properly with Maeve. But she seemed to finally get it. I don't really want to say that the story ended on a cliffhanger.... but it kind of did. While Maeve and Jack's story is all told, and mysteries surrounding them have come out, there was some other stuff mentioned on the book that leads in to what will be the next book. This book definitely had my brain working. You never really know who to trust and I was totally feeling all that! I am quite eager to get more from this dangerous, intriguing family! This was a new to me author ...... so far I am thinking I need to get into her backlist some more!

The narrations was OK. I thought that Michael Gallagher was great. Sarah Jane Rose is where I had some issues. While I thought she was phenomenal during the sexy moments (her breathless voice was OUTSTANDING) the rest of the time it was so calming that I almost wanted to fall asleep. Which isn't always a bad thing..... but not something that belongs in a mafia book.

Irish Mafia in Ireland, Intrigue and Long Denied Passion

Maeve seeking to hold what’s left of her family together. Father deserted them, her mother is an alcoholic and her older brother strung out on drugs. When her brothers debt threatens all their lives she has only one person to go to, Jack.
Jack is the heir apparent to the Irish mafia in Maeve’s region. She has known him most of her life as she is friends with his sister. Verbally tormented and attack by him as a child she also has had an attraction.

I absolutely loved this story! The action, the world building, the past that slowly unfolds, the secrets, the loyalty, the attraction, and finally the love. The characters weren’t softened but realistic as I would imagine people in these lives. I can’t wait for the next audio book for this series
The narrators had the beautiful Irish accents, the perfect pitch of emotion and pace and timing..great storytelling to draw you in.
Definitely an audiobook I will bring back and listen to again and again.

Enjoyed getting into the Young Irish Rebels world!

Being new to Ms.Carter's work I've been wanting to pick up her books for quite some time now. As soon as i found out about this audiobook i knew i had to listen to it first! I started listening as soon as i could and got into the Young Irish Rebels world. I so enjoyed this listen!

I've listened to Michael Gallagher's narration before and I've been looking forward to picking up more audiobooks with his narration. This was my first time listening to Sarah Jane Rose's narration and I really enjoyed it! These two were great as Jack and Maeve! I loved what their voices brought to the story as well as the characters.

Jack and Maeve's journey got my attention! I wasn't sure what all was going to happen with these two and that had me into this audiobook even more. I really liked how there was history between these two and how i felt many things with both characters throughout listening.

With Mafia Prince, Ms.Carter has created such a good story! I'm already looking forward to getting back into this world with the second installment, Mafia King! Michael Gallagher and Sarah Jane Rose were awesome with their narration! I can't wait to listen to more of both of them in the future!

The actors literally brought this to life, it was just like watching a movie! This family is no joke. The lies, treachery, deceit and if you don't comply, elimination! You don't look at and you certainly don't touch what belongs to The Prince!

Excellent audiobook

This is the first book I've read/listened to by Vi Carter. I have mixed feelings about it. I loved and hated Jack and Maeve's relationship. Or maybe it was their reactions to various situations. I wasn't sure if Maeve was stupid or brave. And I wasn't sure Jack could truly love. I stuck with it at the end, was satisfied with it all and ready for the next book. There is an overall storyline for the series, I think, But a HEA for the couple. I do hope to see the same characters in the next book, getting to know them even better.

Michael Gallagher and Sarah Jane Rose are excellent narrators. Michael's voice is so smooth. Sarah is new to me and I absolutely LOVED her performance. Honestly, the narrators are what kept me listening to the book until I finally became invested in the characters and storyline. Beautiful job!

Truly enjoyed this book!

Loved the dual narration, these two did an excellent job. I also loved the story and look forward to more from this author and series.

Good book

First time with this author and I must admit I enjoyed the book. The story However was not what I’m used to for a mafia book( it wasn’t that dark. My one complaint would be some of the stupid stuff the main female character did. I hate it when authors make us weak or stupid. Some parts she’s strong, other times, she runs off and almost gets raped ( what the hell did she think was going to happen with a drug dealer on his turf by HERSELF! and she took off a second time, but this time not attacked but could have been, etc.. overall good book though. I’ll keep going. Narrators we’re good!
