Imperfectly Perfect

I love how this author doesn't run from human frailties. She tackles them head on with all their successes and ugliness.

I had a moment when it was hard for me to like Teagan. It was easy for me to get all judgy. She was lying and working to destroy a wonderful relationship. I had to step back, keep listening with an open heart and finally realized she had some serious emotional problems that she had been battling since she was 6. I won't give spoilers away, but this was an eye opener for me to always question a diagnosis and treatments.

Fabulous book and series.

Love you even when you don’t!

This book is more emotional than I was expecting. Parts of it hit very close to home. Loving someone no matter what is something that is so hard to do and rarely gets to be seen in a romance book.

This book shows what true unconditional love is. Love ing someone even when they can’t love themselves. I don’t even know if I can do that sometimes. But there is a power in love and even more power in living yourself.

Another winner for Helena Hunting

Book two of the Pearl Lake series doesn’t disappoint. Two people fall in love, both guarded by issues in their past and help each other heal their pasts.

Great treatment of anxiety and how to both be supportive and seek support. Bravo, Helena Hunting!

The narrating duo was well paired and earned 2 big thumbs up from this audiobook junkie.

Overall - 5 glowing stars!

Bonus: The author did a wonderful read-along in her Facebook group dedicated to read alongs. I find that read alongs enhance my reading experience, so I was super happy to have been able to participate timely in this novel's read-along.

Loved how it started...

I loved how this started, but I didn't really enjoy the direction this took for both he MC's. Aaron and Teagan both had a personal conflict that I just didn't really enjoy in the book. For me, it took away from the great relationship they both started out as.

This series has been the best I hope Billy gets his story next. this book was alittle heavier than the last one but still amazing and the narrators did an amazing job with this one.

This story was was so relatable and therapeutic. I think many people can relate to the main character’s feelings even if not her specific situation. I would definitely recommend it for a heart warming read.

One thing I loved was that the growth for Teagan wasn’t completely centered on the MMC, Aaron, or their relationship. It was very much something for her. The maturity of this romance and the characters was very realistic to me and I enjoyed that.
