Writing Style: Dual POVs / Drama with balanced angst and pathos

Story - 5 stars
Great treatment of anxiety and how to both be supportive and seek support. Bravo, Helena Hunting!

Performance - 5 stars
The narrating duo was well paired and earned 2 big thumbs up from this audiobook junkie.

Overall - 5 glowing stars!

Bonus: The author did a wonderful read-along in her Facebook group dedicated to read alongs. I find that read alongs enhance my reading experience, so I was super happy to have been able to participate timely in this novel's read-along.

Imperfectly Perfect

I love how this author doesn't run from human frailties. She tackles them head on with all their successes and ugliness.

I had a moment when it was hard for me to like Teagan. It was easy for me to get all judgy. She was lying and working to destroy a wonderful relationship. I had to step back, keep listening with an open heart and finally realized she had some serious emotional problems that she had been battling since she was 6. I won't give spoilers away, but this was an eye opener for me to always question a diagnosis and treatments.

Fabulous book and series.

Love you even when you don’t!

This book is more emotional than I was expecting. Parts of it hit very close to home. Loving someone no matter what is something that is so hard to do and rarely gets to be seen in a romance book.

This book shows what true unconditional love is. Love ing someone even when they can’t love themselves. I don’t even know if I can do that sometimes. But there is a power in love and even more power in living yourself.

I love how this author mixes serious topics with humor.

I read both installments of this series. Both books dealt with some pretty heavy issues. The author does a wonderful job of mixing serious tones with undertones of humor. It makes the books enjoyable to read.

Loved how it started...

I loved how this started, but I didn't really enjoy the direction this took for both he MC's. Aaron and Teagan both had a personal conflict that I just didn't really enjoy in the book. For me, it took away from the great relationship they both started out as.

love this series

This series has been the best I hope Billy gets his story next. this book was alittle heavier than the last one but still amazing and the narrators did an amazing job with this one.
