What can I say about my favorite author making the series better and better .. always brings tears in my eyes at the end

Another winner from Erica Ridley

I truly enjoyed the next installment in the Lords series. Seeing Lord Hawkridge and Faith Digby find love again, despite the odds of class differences, money trouble, and other obstacles I will not spoil here. Also loved seeing familiar characters and how they are growing as well. Now I’ll patiently (sort of) await the next installment!

Not fun; too many thoughts going in circles

The vocal performance was solid, and the narrator was very adept at both male and female voices. However, the narrator could only do so much with this dreary, overly angsty story. This is a Regency romance that is both a second chance love story and a secret baby story. I often enjoy those two tropes, but this one was not entertaining for me. I struggled to finish it.

Compared to other books by Erica Ridley, this one was a lot less fun. The hero and heroine's thoughts were very repetitive. The hero, Lord Hawkridge, dwelled on his financial problems and his guilt for jilting Miss Faith Digby 10 years ago. Faith's thoughts dwelled on her secret child and keeping everyone thinking that the child is her niece. The theme of the importance of family was nice, but most of the audiobook was rather depressing and frustrating.

Also, I thought that the relationship development move to slowly and there were not enough love scenes. Instead of this "Lord of Temptation", I recommend "Lord of Vice" in the same series.

The narrator made this story bearable, otherwise I'd of dropped it after chapter 5. The characters are tedious and inordinately stubborn for the sake of being stubborn. Over 30 chapters when the author could have gotten to the point in 18.
