After reading Clint Hill's books I have increasingly become impressed with the Presidential Protective Detail of the Secret Service. What they accomplish with such few people is nothing short of incredible. I am also a fan of Dan Bongino and found this book to be quite enjoyable. It talks about his childhood, NYPD career, US Secret Service career, US Senate campaign and life after it all. He has packed a lot into 45 years (38 years at the time of this book). He also discusses the government failures pertaining to the fast and furious scandal, Benghazi and the Boston bombing.  If this stuff interests you check this out!

Boring performance

The content was interesting due to completely different view and insights into an area I was not familiar with.
I like the call to action when one is not satisfied with the current situation.
Some of the content is now dated and not so new anymore.

amazing story

first off I love Dan bongino I just wish that he would have narrated this book because I think he has an awesome voice for reading or narrating. It really lets you into his life as a secret service agent and all of the hell he went through to serve this country I personally want to thank him

Great insight.

This book answers questions we as an American people have all wanted answers to. From inner workings of the the government to the dysfunction within the ranks.

Great Book!

You’ve had one hell of a Law Enforcement career and have earned your success! Having worked in Information Technology for 25 years at a county level for a Law agency, you hit the nail on the head when it comes to data sharing and communications. The only records that shouldn’t be openly shared amongst Sworn and vetted personnel are internal investigations.

Interesting insider perspective

I really liked this book. It gives you a good glimpse into the life of Mr. Bongino and into what happens behind closed doors of the government. I highly recommend checking this book out.

Fascinating inside look!

I found this book to be a fascinating look from the inside of the government. I like that he was able to provide a view from the inside while not being personally invested in the decision loop. Great book!

Interesting perspective

I always thought that there must be a lot of selfishness of those who are being protected. Pretty well confirmed here. FBI in this line of work have no personal life.

This book is politically slanted, note Mr Bongino left the FBI to run as a Republican for Senate.
