Amazing.

It all makes sense now.
I loved the 1st book but this one was so much better.
I love how he just gave her the space she needed, and wouldnt give up on her.
I didnt see the ending coming the way it did but I'm so glad it happened the way it did.

Great love story

Absolutely loved this book and the characters. Emily with Miguel by her side can accomplish anything. She never thought she would move on after the live of her life Blake passed away! Miguel her trusty friend/bodyguard is there to help her pick up the pieces! I laughed and cried during this book!
I was not a huge fan of the narration! I will say as the story goes on I liked her more.

Solid Listen

I listened to this one in audio. It was a solid listen. The book dealt with the challenge of letting go and moving on after the loss of the loved one and how some times love can be found in unexpected places. I wanted a bit more from the story and at times I didn't always connect with the narrator's style. But overall a solid listen.

second chance fight

I didn't like that the author chose to drag the Shaw family and make them evil vultures in the second book after Blake's death. The second chance could have come about in a better manner, because I already felt a connection with them from the previous book. smh?? I liked that both main characters were strong enough to find their happiness and love again. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. I would again have preferred a male narrator (as I stated in book 1) because he would have fit better. The male voices weren't convincing at all.

Emotional love story

I asked to receive this free review Audible book and wrote this unbiased review. This is such an emotional story of love lost and hidden love. The character and plot development will captivate the listener. Emily has mourned the death of her husband for two years and Miguel attempts to help her move on. A long time friend and confident Miguel hides a secret that will shock Emily. I enjoyed watching this friendship grow and change. The author will take you on an emotional rollercoaster that will endear these characters to you. I also love seeing Emily develop into woman ready to take on the challenges in her life. The ending did have a business dealing that surprised me, and I would have liked seeing a little more about the characters. But that is just me and the author gave us satisfying ending. I liked that the narrator made us feel the emotions that the characters were going through. I did feel that she made Miguel's voice very choppy and hesitant sounding. I do recommend this Audible book.

this is a great book I loved listening to it and reading it. give her a try you can never go wrong with her books <3

Unrequited Love

Emily lost her husband 2 years ago and finds out her bodyguard Miguel has been in love with her. I was really annoyed with Emily for holding onto loyalty for her late husband who cheated on her and left her vulnerable with his drug use.

Miguel is definitely more supportive and protective for Emily and I feel like they deserve to be happy together even as they have to fight her late husbands family.

It’s a whirlwind romance that was a slow burn.

The narrator was a little annoying when she was doing the voices of the other characters, including Miguel. The regular voice for Emily was fine, but the other characters sounded like accents were forced and some just sounding whiny.

Touching

I enjoyed book 1 but loved this book. Think I fell in love with Miguel myself. He was so patient and let her come to him on her own terms
