Intelligent and Hot

I love the author’s wit and humor. She capture’s realistic feelings and her story lines and character development are on point. I am throughly enjoying the through lines of the characters between these series of novels, What a talented and gifted author. These are fantastic live stories. I cannot get enough.

Love CJ Bloom... the heroin not so much

Skyler is annoying skipped the last two chapters. Hopefully the other books get better. she really needs to get it together.

Great Read!

This was the first book I’ve read by Nicole French, and I can’t wait for the second in the series. The series is a trilogy. The pull between Skylar and Brandon is palpable, and CJ Bloom brought it to life. I highly recommend!

Swoon to the max!!!

Oh man! Brandon Sterling and Skylar Crosby have got e VERY complicated relationship. He goes from just wanting sex to wanting it all! She learns about his past, and he learns more about hers than she had wanted him to learn. He really does sweep in like a knight in shining armor. There were most definitely some twists in the story. Some drama that I did not see coming. And of coarse there was a part that made me cry.... actually it was more like a couple parts that made me cry. The ending was a huge cliffhanger that I should have seen coming, but there was so much going on that it totally blind sided me! So now I am eager to get into the second book so I can see how this most recent drama plays out!!!

April 2023 Update for Audio Review:

I love Brandon and Skyler's story! The only thing I wish was that there was more from Brandon's POV (which is nonexistent in this book) but their story is so angsty and epic that I love them and could read and listen to it many times!!!

phenomenal writing

very descriptive imagery, which I find to be the only way I can read books like this. the way the main characters interact most of the time had me holding my sides in laughter. I hate the way it ended though. now I have to purchase the second book. all in all, I highly recommend it

I love this series, these characters, and this audiobook does all of them justice.
The narrator is amazing and I loved her Skyler and the sliding in and out of the accents.

It's been a while since I've found a book that can actually hold my interest and I be so predictable!!! This was the first time listening to a book by this author and it did not disappoint!!! it kept me at the edge of my seat so much so that I read all 3 books and one sitting.The narration was good and the story was well-developed there is romance, comedy, mystery, hot sex scenes, and a strong female lead. I highly recommend this book😍😍😍🙌🙌🙌

i loved the book, but Skylar is to much trouble, She was j7st getting on my nerves running all the time.

Five Stars for the Performance Only!

I’m really not sure what I think about this book. Both of these main characters are annoying as all get out. Skyler complains about everything and is so ungrateful, and Brandon acts as if he’s a sadistic predator. I don’t even feel the chemistry between the two because it’s just all about lust and sex. I’m hoping that the conclusion of the other books get better because, if not, it will be a complete waste of credits and time. The only positive thing is CJ Bloom’s narration of the book.

I agree Skyler is not worth chasing after.

After they meet Brandon is obsessed with her but she gets angry with him at every turn. as they start to date he tries to get her gifts and take her on a trip that he can obviously afford but that makes her angry as she feels like a whore. Her anger flares to the point where twice she slaps him. I have to wonder if Audible would host a book where when the guy gets mad at his new girlfriend he hauls of and slaps her.

Things are finally going along pretty good but she has to find something else that's so bad she leaves him. For weeks she wont talk to him and never does tell him why she left.

The end of this book ends with a cliff hanger that I was uncomfortable with. I wont be listening to book 2 as I now know how it was handled.

Basically there is nothing Bad Boy about him but she's pretty nasty.
