my fave of bks 2-4

Possible Spoilers:
It’s 4 years after Heart Beat because young Mikey is going into first grade. Wiley Pope walks in on a bank robbery in progress and takes down 3, saving the hostages, including Linette Elgin. She hasn’t given him the time of day since their disastrous first date. Seeing him get shot terrifies Linney until she finds out he’s wearing a bulletproof vest. But it’s a wake up call. They get to have one date when life throws a curveball in the form of 7 year old Ava Dalton, daughter of the despicable Carina Dalton and their father. She’s half sister to the Pope brothers and they take immediate action to keep her. They’re very saddened by Ava’s former life and take every step to give her security and stability. In between, Shirley has an accident limiting mobility and Aunt Ella dies. Wiley saves Linney one more time at the hospital, he gets permanent custody of Ava, and they inherit Aunt Ella’s house.
I’m not sure what purpose the second storyline with Carey and John served.
Odom does a good job narrating this book and series.

looking for the next book

I enjoyed the book and the story line hopefully the mom will get her story and also a story for Mikey and ava

7 year old Ava abused by her mother was saved by her brother. and loved forever.

Love and Family

An outstanding book. Sharon Sala has done it again. This is the BEST one yet…Wiley and Lynette and Ava. A very poignant story…sadness, love, laughter and Family. I have read everything Ms Sala has written, and this is a 5 Star+.

Story line.

Liked the whole story, plot was so true to life with room for more segments and a happy ending.

The characters and storyline.

This was one f my favorites f all time. Loved the ppl and the story.

Hard to get into

This story was difficult to get into.
Took a while to understand the characters and all the issues seem to be resolved without much drama.
Overall, it was just OK.
