The bad acting and poor audiences are almost as bad as the desert and its scorpions - then, as the killer hovers, Falco tries to write a play.

Another great storyline

I greatly enjoy this series. This one passed much quicker than previous story lines. Very enjoyable. Thank you.

Warning! Addictive Series!

Humor and History. Davis creates three dimensional characters that you love and hate. I am trying to pace myself but I find I keep going back to Didius Falco. Sort of the Harry Hole of first century Rome.

Awful narration but good story

What did you love best about Last Act in Palmyra?

Helena is my favorite character. It is awesome how she and Falco work together and respect each other, but continue to be very different people.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

I know the main character has a sense of fun and humor, but the narrator just doesn't get that across. The narrator makes Falco sound mature and serious. DH hears bits of it and keeps commenting on how awful the narration is, and asks when I am going to be done with the series. I keep listening to his narrations because there are no other options on Audible, and I really like the story. I ought to buy up all of the other narrations available on audible now so I get a better narration, even though there are about ten books in between.

Outstanding historical series!

If you love well-researched, lively history, don't mind murder, and have a great sense of humor, this series is for you! I've read them in book form and am now thoroughly enjoying the outstanding narration. Enjoy!

Love this series

Love this series 🥰can’t wait for the next one to come out really good narration

For mystery lovers, Roman history lovers and lovers.

Marcus Didius Falco has it all. The series is a great romp. The love story between Falco and the Senators daughter is the winner. Every book has its own unique twist, and you can lose yourself in the streets of Rome, and all of the provinces he visits.

Boring

This book is the worst of the series so far. As an audiobook it was unintelligible. Next one better be an improvement or no more Didius for me.
