Happy conclusion after a lot of angst

The narrators were spot on. I loved their voices and they elevated this angst filled story of lost people.
I liked Shay and Landon but the depression thing wasn’t explored to where I would have liked it. I also wanted Shay to get some therapy because she seemed to have PTSD from her dad and Landon.

It’s a great story about getting lost in someone’s pain and losing your way too.

Love!!

I love how these books show the realness of depression and how the internal struggles within one's own mind can be as much of a barrier than outside negativity. I also love how it shows it from a young age all the way through adulthood and how it doesn't go away but is something you have to work on and look out for, I started my struggle with depression at a young age as well. I also just in general love the love story here, its beautiful, I also relate to Shay in many ways and her struggle to trust. I just find this Duet very real & beautiful in general & I love them!!

this book is everything I cried when I listened to the Brighside but this book has the best narrator for most of the emotional screen I cried like I'm shay it hurts over and over Miranda Jay did wonderful on this book. Thank you for such a wonderful creation an experience of a once in a lifetime love worth it.

This was a sad story but…

A bit far-fetched. Not allowing communication is problematic more times than not; however, not to the extent in this story. Miranda’s narration is not very good; sounded like she is reading rather than getting into characters, also did a poor job with male characters. Teddy is fantastic and did a great job with Landon and female characters; book is better read in duet.

Warning: Deals with Tough Issues

This book was really difficult for me because of the sensitivity of the topic of depression. My heart hurt for these two beautiful characters as they tried to figure out if their love could withstand the heartache of life.

This is my third book that I’ve listen to from Brittainy C. Cherry. She has a way of writing complex characters who deal with depression, low self-esteem, bullying, love, forgiveness, and mental abuse. I know these are fictional characters, but knowing there are people in this world who deal with these issues breaks my heart.
I am glad there is a happy ending to the story, but that is not always the case in life.

I really thought that Teddy did a great job portraying Landon, but I didn’t really care for Miranda as Shay. Still, it doesn’t take away from the fact that this is an incredible story.

Over L&S 🫤

The storyline was so interesting in book 1 & this book. I was all team L&S. However, by the middle of this book, I didn't want them together for a HEA. I understand that he had a sickness, but he was able to get himself together for other parts of his life...he just dropped her when he became successful. And whenever he reached a low point, he wanted to crawl back to her to reset his life. She deserved way better, he had more than a second chance. He was a user! And Shay became this insecure shell. Also, hated her meddling friend - she claimed she was Switzerland, but by the writing, she appeared more team Landon. Her other friend Tracy had a bit of an attitude, but she had her back at least. Glad to see Shay's mom moving on. Really wish Landon's mom was able to take April's inheritance on account of their infidelity confession & move on too. Of course, by the end, L&S received their HEA....good for them. Oh, and narration was good for it not to be duet.

I wish I could give out more stars.....WOW

I am totally in love with Landon and Shay. This book deals with some really tough issues surrounding mental health, the struggles of depression and the people that become your support system. Landon and Shay have a beautiful love story, not only is it worth the credit/read, it is worth reading again. Teddy Hamilton and Miranda Jay nail the narration.

Couldn’t get enough.

This book is one of my favorites! The narrators are amazing and really pull you in. I’m so in love with these characters I didn’t want it to end. I need more.

Brittainy C. Cherry is truly an incredible writer! I am in awe of her talent.

This story ( Book 1 & 2) has it ALL. I laughed. I cried. I got angry and I swooned. I felt compassion, angst and joy. All the elements are there in a beautifully written story.

I am a forever fan!
