Lovely story about strength and adversity

A lovely story set in the background of ancient China and an age where the art of foot binding is Beauty at its most high. This story shows the strength and adversity of one woman’s tail from her youth to old age. Taking lessons learned as a child and following those along into her adulthood and older years.

Repetitive

The story is just far too long. It was also quite repetitive. Could have been a lot shorter. Rrvire

Absorbing novel with wonderful narration

This audiobook held my attention from the first moment. The storyline is well thought out and the narration was wonderdul

I love the ancient Chinese tales of a life so different to mine

I enjoyed the life story and the history of Chinese culture and customs.

So much of these ancient cures and medicines have disappeared but for me is the greatest loss of personal care and involvement of doctors in our lives.
