disappointing ending

the narrator was awesome. the story was good until the ending. like so many others...uncreative ending. stopped listening...I couldn't take it anymore

The story was easy to get into. Great narrator easy to follow! Nice understanding voice

Well read by the narrator. She gave these characters a life and I enjoyed it very much. Good story a great narration. Excellent combination.

I read this book and loved it but to hear it in words with the voices and infections made this book even better. I love the way this author writes her main characters. The connection between voice and character is an important part of audio and this one did as it intended.

I did have fun listening to this book. great narrator. really brought the characters alive.

Bratty voices

The plot is good. And maybe reading the book would be pleasant. However as an audiobook the bratty whiny teenager voice grates on your nerves terribly.
Read this one, forget the audio version.

An entertaining start to the series

I enjoyed this light, fast paced, murder mystery set along the sunny coast of Florida. I liked how well developed Kara's back story and I felt like I really got to know her. There is a real sense of community and I could imagine her coming 'home' as she is surrounded by old childhood friends and friends of her father's. The mystery was well thought out, interesting and held my attention very well. I also liked that Kara is encouraged to continue sleuthing and given the means to start investigating her own father's murder at the end of the book which means that I will looking forward to finding out what happens in the next book.

Wonderful

Wonderful. Delightful. I couldn’t press stop! I was riveted. This was my first audio book. It was entertaining and wonderfully written. Kim, the narrator, gave a depth to the characters that you just don’t get simply reading a book. She brought each one to life. Can’t wait for the next book!
