terrific listen

being a part time resident of myrtle and loving the shore, this series is fantastic

Awesome

This is a great read. I was pleasantly surprised by the turns. Love the actual real feeling.

A disappointment

We listened to this book as we were driving to Myrtle Beach. It seemed like an ideal choice before we left. The plot was reasonable and the book developed the character of an amateur who wants to figure out who murdered a friend with or without police cooperation believably. The performance detracted from the book though. The performer tried to use different voices for each character but generally failed. Almost all female characters sounded the same. Admittedly immigration to the Myrtle Beach area has been so great that the low country accent I grew up with 50 years ago is far less common, but it is still present and the performer's attempt was pathetic. Like "why would anyone think this guy was a professional performer" pathetic. The performance was so grating as to prevent me from wanting to listen to the sequel despite a fairly good closing hook in the book.

I thought the story dragged at points.

I didn’t like the accents in some of the characters; I thought the reader could have had more emotion in his voice.

Love the characters and all the twist and turns the story took
Will definitely continue this series

I liked how the story built up but didn’t like the voices from the the narrator.

Did not like this book -very amateurish!

Struggled to finish this book. Very poorly written - boring plot. Would not recommend -
disappointing purchase

Not the best

Kind of a ho hum story. Narrator wasn’t too good. Story kind of slow and very UNexciting. Ignore this author and narrator
