Minalan’s Summer Vacation!
What does the most powerful wizard in the world do after the war is over? So Minalan spends his summer sneaking 2,000 Kasari children through enemy lines, goblin territory, hostile Wilderlords, and through some of the roughest territory in the Five Duchies toward salvation.
But the Spellmonger soon learns that not even the help of a goddess is going to be sufficient to contend with the realities of the quest. Despite his best efforts and some of the most advanced magic seen since the Magocracy, the march attracts enemies…and far too many friends.
For when the desperate refugees of the war-torn Alshari Wilderlands see the well-fed legions of Kasari march by, they cannot help but follow, even if they have no idea of the destination. Another stellar listen!
Yeooowee! This is a really neat series! I'm hoping the last two books find their way to Audible. John Lee is truly a solid, smooth, and enjoyable narrator. Kudos to you sir! I'm still wondering how Mask face managed to survive a fall from a big ole bird!

A break from the war
Another fun entry for the series for the Spellmonger, only slightly hampered by an overabundance of plot armor.
A good break from the grand story of the goblin war, and more fantastic world-building, just was a little slower than the previous books, keeping it from 5 stars.

Love. Like. Disappointed... all at the same tim
Is it weird to love a series, and like a book, but still be disappointed? I don't know. If u want to continue into the future of The Spellmonger story, u should get thus book. But some of the author's stylistic choices are starting to annoy me.
I'll just leave it there.
