When the neighbours in question are the proud empires of Klatch and Ankh-Morpork, those are going to be some pretty large garden tools indeed. Of course, no-one would dream of starting a war without a perfectly good reason...such as a 'strategic' piece of old rock in the middle of nowhere.

Narration was really dead

Compared to other narrations of Pratchett’s work, this was really lacking. In fact, it was barely recognizable as a Pratchett book.

Great reinterpretation

Took me a minute to get used to a new voice. But I was sold by the end of it laughed out loud, a bunch of times one of the most important things about a great work of fiction is its ability to stand up to re-interpretation.

Absolutely love the individual voices of the characters as they come to life

As said in the title, the characters come alive in these books. This appears to be for the entire NightWatch series. Hoping its the same for all.

War… war never changes

Terry Pratchett once again imitates life and makes his poignant observations while simultaneously making one laugh. A thoroughly enjoyable listen/read.

Amazingly summarizing the nature of history and war and patriotism and the stupidity of crowd behavior

Very well read with convincing voices. Intriguing, funny and enlightening. I enjoyed every minute of it.
