irreverent
since I haven't read Harry Potter I don't have much to say about the parody part but I found some humor in it anyway. there are illusions to many genres of science fiction and fantasy so you don't have to be a Harry Potter nerd.
it really struck me when the writer broke the fifth, fourth wall is it? To talk to that little annoying voice in your head that says give up is don't try. more inspirational than a lot of books that set out to be inspirational.
