Agatha Raisin hasn't quite adjusted to the slow pace of village life, or to the failure of her overtures to her handsome neighbor, James Lacey. Since the new vet in town is young and good looking, Agatha's perfectly healthy tabby endures a nasty physical exam in the name of romance. Unfortunately, his sacrifice is all for naught when the vet is soon found dead. The police call the death a freak accident, but Agatha convinces James that playing amateur detective might be fun. Unfortunately, just as curiosity killed the cat, Agatha's inept snooping is soon a motivation for murder.

A quirky main character that grew on me.

I didnt know if I liked the main character until I was way into this book. I came to want to know just what she would do next. The stories are well written and the narration is superb. I recommend this book.

Such a fun book to listen to. no blood and gore, just easy listening and good mysteries.

Agatha is so sassy. What a fun ride this book was. I will read it again.

Cute

The story is cute. I frequently found myself wanted to yell at Agatha for getting into ridiculous situations but in the end, I read it to the end it kept my interest.

Characters are relatable (in general)

Reminds me of Midsomer Murders. Love the dose of British wit and humor. Enjoyable, I am invested in the series now.

Very entertaining

I found the stories funny and entertaining and was left wanting to hear more stories with Agatha Raisin. The narrator was excellent, spoke clearly, excellently distinguished the characters, and was able to help me visualize them. I enjoyed the experience so much that plan to listen to this audio book again. I will also look for more Agatha raisin audio books.
