Very enjoyable

I have listened to several books in the Agatha Raisin series. They are well written, perfectly narrated & a fun listen! I’m enjoying every adventure & the interesting characters.

Fun, Light and Engaging

The Agatha Raisin books are fun, light and engaging, just what I want for distraction from news of the day. The plots are full of twists and turns that may be a little transparent at times, but are mostly entertaining surprises. Characters are appealing enough to keep me wanting another chapter, or another book. Agatha is ... a pistol.

Great story

James invites Agatha on vacation then abandons her. Agatha being Agatha pulls herself together solves the crime and realizes that James isn't the fantasy that has been in her dreams. This is a great book.

Penelope Keith should be the ONLY narrator for this series.

This series is great because of the narrator! Her inflection and changing of the voices are like velvet on the ears. I can’t stand to listen to the other. I may just purchase those in actual book form.

Switched things up

MC switched things up this story. I really get upset with the Charles, Agatha, and James triangle. I'm happy she's starting to be independent, but also feel like they all are their own worst enemies.

Excellent adventure with Agatha

Agatha is up to her usual sleuthing mishaps. Her surprise romantic trip with James turns sour after Agatha is accused of murdering another guest at the hotel. She and her team uncover secrets as they try to solve who committed the murder.

More Agatha Fun

Agatha solve a several murders connected to each other. There are some very tense scenes and some funny scenes.

I Love Agatha and Penelope Keith!

I watched Keith in the British shows To the Manor Born, Good Neighbors and others and grew to love her and her distinct voice. I believed she was the characters she was portraying. Her voice was as annoying as some of her characters were written to be. She's a fabulous actress.

As for the Agatha Raisin series... did you know it is also a TV series? I first found this series on Britbox through Amazon Prime. My son can't stand it (he's 25). Maybe it is because it is brash, bonkers, and unlike anything American TV has.

I LOVE the video series and the audiobooks. Keith's voice acting matches Agatha's somewhat annoying (LOL) personality AND voice. A match made in heaven.

If you want to try something outrageous, different, and fun you should definitely try this series. It has all the attributes I've mentioned AND it's a mystery series.

Again, if you're looking for something new and different than everything else you simply must try Agatha and Penelope. Absolutely!

Did I mention it's funny. Yeah, it really is!

Snakes and Bastards

Agatha Raisin is a hot mess. But I can't stop listening to her chaos. Love this series and hope there are more audiobook read by Penelope Keith. Shes brilliant.

I love Penelope Keith. She does an amazing job narrating the stories of Agatha Raisin. Evey new story of Agatha keeps me completely entertained. M.C. Beaton is the best. ❤
