Very informative book!

What made the experience of listening to Insulin Resistance Diet the most enjoyable?

Great read especially for those with diabetes. I will most definitely be adding this to my cookbook and recipe collection.

Very easy to read and understand. Positive messages about starting and maintaining lifestyle changes. Also gives tips on emotional eating, body shame and what to do during plateaus and slip ups. I learned a lot about insulin resistance and about how the body works and easy to understand. I can't wait to begin using these methods to improve my health.

Love this book

Highly recommended if you have insulin resistance or even having trouble losing weight. Also, this book isn't trying to sell you any products. It's a straightforward approach to combating insulin resistance and the weight gain associated with it. I wish I had this book years ago. It would have saved me a lot of struggles. Love this book! Still working my way through, but EXACTLY what I was looking for. THANK YOU!

Having this audio book is very important to help me watch my parents’ intake of food by following these tips and recommendations with the approval of our family doctor. Thanks for helping me out in planning and for my parents to watch their insulin resistance diet.

Short and to the point. Medical information and meal suggestions.

Lots of information on how to medically check if your body suffers from insulin resistance. However the diet and eating suggestions are only in the last chapter. Helpful information and something I will think about the next time I go shopping so I can stock up on prepared low carb frozen dinners. And will also be prepared to alter my shopping list so I’m not tempted.

A wealth of information about diabetes!

This book cleared up a lot of confusion I had about diabetes in general. There are so many medical terms out there sometimes I feel like I am barely holding on. Louis Laurent has a couple of books I have read in the past that I enjoyed and I will be adding this to the list! Very informative.
-Narration was articulate and easy to listen to. Skyler did a great job.

Useful guide

Where does Insulin Resistance Diet rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

It ranked high only. Her information is clearly written and well augmented. She answers every question you could possibly have from the point of view of a person with diabetes. I think this guide was pretty in-depth and covered everything.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Abdominal obesity, high levels of fasting glucose in the bloodstream, hypertension, low good cholesterol levels, and high triglycerides. All of these symptoms group together to form insulin resistance.

This guidebook is super helpful and by the help of this book I was able to know about how to lower my blood sugar effectively. Inside of this book I have found proven and powerful techniques. This book taught me new & creative way to decrease my blood sugar levels. Here I have found some helpful tips and essential discussion that enlarged my knowledge.

Poor Content and reader

If you get a book on insulin resistance that’s what you want to understand. The author did a poor job of getting to the point. The reader made it difficult to continue.

This book gives a lot of false information.

They recommend things like low fat dairy, which has been proven to spike insulin more than cheese and butter, to eat lots of protein, which out of protein, fast and carbs, fast, it's what spikes insulin more, and to eat more often in small portions, which has been proven to actually assist in the cause of metabolic syndrome. I do not recommend this.
