Confused in the start

Apparently you need to have played the video game to understand the beginning. Don’t give up if you’re confused. It takes time but by the end you’ll understand what it all means. Not as good as the first but still Sanderson.

Delightful Story

Some authors would have stretched this plot into a 20 hour listen, I appreciate that Mr. Sanderson made this a short story. I really enjoyed the story, it has a fair amount of jumping around in the wheel of time and he handles it very well and it was clear and concise. I didn't feel like I needed any more of the details (the why's and how's) than he gave us. The narration is great too. I have liked Mr. Roukin before and I liked his work again.

Sanderson knows what he is doing

Excellent short story. I 100% recommend. The short amount of time you spend with these characters is just the right amount to; know and wonder all you need to know and wonder.

Lol Brandon Sanderson you are the best. Review? No. If it has Brandon Sanderson on the cover , you won’t be disappointed. No exception to that rule here. Really good story, I want more. Ty

Amazing performance.

An engaging fantasy tale, full of enlightening reveals, backstory, and twists. Samuel Roukin’s performance, though, really brings it home. He gives the characters such life and such vivid personality that I can’t wait to hear more of his narration.

Waiting for Book Three

Another great book by Brandon Sanderson. I really like the narrator. Based on the ending, there will definitely be a book 3. Not sure when but waiting.

decent story

not his best work or the most engaging, but a great book by anyone else's standards. little confusing at the beginning, but that gets clarified early on.

Great listen

After loving the game series and reading the original release, had a great time listening back and rediscovering this connection!

Surprisingly good

I can't believe I hadn't heard about these before - they were wonderful! I've heard they were companion stories to video games no longer available. Shame, it looks like they were great.

Actually liked it better than the first one. Also games are still available

It explains a lot of the plot and gives good backstory to a lot of things I didn’t understand originally.
