Great book full of adventure and strong women. Have truly enjoyed it. Looking forward to the next one.

Took several turns. Fast paced. Really good with unveiling more of the story in depth. Very creative

Adventurous

Loved the narration and the plot. It’s a pretty clean story as far as romance and is filled with action. I enjoyed all the accents the narrator gave each group of people so we can distinguish the characters.

Highly Recommend

So usually the sequel doesn’t live up to the hype of the first book. This is definitely not the case here. The characters and story lines made for an incredible story. I like this one even better than the first. Now I’m very excited about book 3. Beautifully well thought out world. Now I kinda want to be a pirate!!!

The author skillfully weaves multiple character arcs and adventures into one cohesive story. Definitely un-put-down-able.

with book 2, this series really picks up. I enjoyed the series in it's entirety, enough that I'll listen in again at another time.

Excellent World-Broadening Series!

Everything about this series is wonderful! From its non-traditional cultures to its semi steam-punk inventions, mixed with a magic of its own….this world pulls you in and enthralls you. The characters are strong and smart with all too human emotions and failures. When cultures meet and clash, the choices they make on the other side are a lesson to us all.

Michael Livingston’s storytelling is masterful. Weaving many paths into one glorious pattern and leaving you wanting to hear the next chapter, and the next, and the next. Elizabeth Evans does a great job bringing all the diverse characters to life. A great series for young and old alike with strong heroes for all and a wonderful blowing up of stereotypical gender roles. Highly recommend!

great series

I want really expecting to like it so much but working all the fantasy stores I've heard this is a true gem. great writing great story great characters great narration and I believe I got it for free, which never hurts. will definitely research more by both author and narrator. great work! thank you

Good

I thought this book was definitely better than the first book in the series. There was a lot of action in this book, and each of the three women had their own journeys in stories. Bela and her crew sailed. The sand crow into the ICC. They lost their ship, Bela was attacked by a bear, and mutiny broke out among the sailors. Shae how did adventure of her own. She was spirited away by ther enemy, the airborne people. She had her own adventure with the airborne and the metal men. Alira joined the storm born and was fighting for her life against the blood-borne people. I like the end of this book but I have a feeling that this series is not over. I can’t wait to read the next book in series.

Definitely worth a listen. Good plot and an interesting take on the genre as a whole
