The story line, narrators, authors, etc,.
BRAVO!!!!

Did anyone else notice all the biblical references?

Cristiano ( very close to Christian), Angel....that one is obviously although this particular character acted more like a devil.

Jacob, Michael, Elizabeth, David, Noah, and Mara, are all biblical names. Dante, although it’s not in the Bible, I take as Dante’s Inferno...........and he was burned????.....so.......just sayin.
Although the name Scarlett isn’t in the Bible, the color is mentioned 50 times.
Meaning. The color scarlett symbolizes courage, passion, force, joy and heat. ... The cardinals of the Roman Catholic Church wear scarlett as a color of the blood of Christ and the Christian martyrs.

The story draws you in but I must admit......I hate reading about such violent acts towards women and children. Human trafficking makes me sick to my stomach.

I will never get tired of listening to Wen and Kai narrate any book that Natasha Knight writes. It's pure magic to my ears!

DARK ~ DRAMA-FILLED ~ SUSPENSEFUL & MY KRYPTONITE

Well Ms Knight, you sure didn’t hold anything back with this second compelling book in your thrilling and chilling dark Duet.. it ends in happily ever afters, but wow.. wow.. wow this couple had to go through some rough and dangerous times getting there. It’s ALL action, full stream, high octane drama and intrigue that doesn’t slow as the well-written unique plot leads you down some unexpected dark alleys.. alleys where evil monsters slither waiting for another innocent soul to sell. And gripped it had me.. shocked and intrigued I definitely was.. and I held my breath as I rooted for the changed hero to save the day again and again whilst telepathically sending him encouragement and mentally giving a strong heroine a high-five for every time she stands back up and for every single deserved blow she manages to give back.

As Scarlett and Cristiano became closer in the previous book, their unwanted attraction turned to flames which burned red hot, changed a predator and his captive and they both fell in love. But, in this book, betrayal has ripped Scarlett away from Cristiano’s side.. now he’s a possessive protective husband, an enraged destructive force on a mission. A blinded by rage mission to get his stolen wife back.. no matter the cost to himself. Cristiano’s revenge to seek the monster who killed his Mother, and to find out what the cryptic last words were whispered in her ear before her throat was cut in front of his eyes, has been Cristiano’s only focus in life for so long.. until Scarlett. And that has given the Puppet-master, who’s been behind the scenes pulling all the strings, time.. time to plan the best of ends for him.. and the most wicked of ends for Scarlett De La Cruz.

Cristiano has the weight of the world on his shoulders, he keeps so many people safe.. and the most heartfelt promise was to keep Scarlett, his love and redemption, safe. Vengeance and death has been his driving force.. but now it’s a race against time to find the woman he loves above all else.. but watch your back Cristiano because peace and salvation won’t last long. Then it’ll take all your strength to plough through the shocking revelations, the emotional and physical blows and rescue the other part of your soul. .. And Scarlett, well she’ll have to witness dark atrocities, endure pain and brutal punishments, find a lost flower in a den of despair and fight whenever she can.. even though she knows this is her end.

Worth a credit? It was a tense and thrilling story.. there’s sex and passion, shivers and suspense and love does eventually conquer all.. it’s my kryptonite and yes, it’s very creditworthy. Great dual POV narration too by Kai and Wen which brings it all to life and makes a very exciting and enjoyable five star listen. But warning❗️.. this is a dark story and there’s a brutal back-door rape scene.

what an ending

wow what an ending to a great duet. it kind of tick me off that they didn't go after/find the missing but maybe it's for another story.... I did really love this duet
